The family room was pretty tiny and the beds quite short (not long enough for a fully grown adult really). Although comfortable the rooms were a bit austere lacking common 4 star/business class hotel amenities one might expect from the Scandic brand such as a selection of toiletries, a very small bathroom and very little space for luggage for a family sized room. I have stayed in other 4 start properties where even a single or Queen room was bigger than this 4 person family room.

Amazingly nice staff, breakfast buffet exceptional and extremely well located but the room itself was very meagre for the room night cost compared to comparable 4 star properties. All-all-all a decent stay made better by the staff and the breakfasts.

The bathroom could do with a floor rug for when you step out of the shower. The room had no fridge, nor water heater. The breakfast was nice enough, but the bacon that was prepared was soft and swimming in grease. The lift we used is in need of maintenance, but got us + our baggage to our floor.

The location, and the beautiful view from the room. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. They gave us our room earlier than the usual check-in time, facing the water, as requested. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with nice modern details. Didn't get a chance to use the pool, but what we could see looked promising. The games area with the table tennis and "foosball" were welcome distractions for young and the not-so- young. The hotel is also pet-friendly - saw a couple of well-behaved dogs sitting patiently with their respective families in the hotel premises. Heartening 😊. Will definitely be coming back here again.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The fitness room and swimming pool were under maintenance. This information was not available on Bookings when we arrived. The staff contacted and booked another facility 5 mins from hotel, with gym, swimming pool, sauna access. We really appreciate the effort.

The parking was a real headache, could not find where to park, had to go in circles for 30min and eventually finding and parking the car, still received a 1000kr fine for parking the car the wrong way, which we did not know was a rule in Sweden…

Breakfast was average & hot choices were cold in the middle so cooked probably from frozen! Tables were mainly full with dirty dishes, had to move and stack to open up a table. Corridors to rooms had what I can only describe as a hydraulic oil smell, but rooms were OK!

Pillows / bed in the room were good, the staff helped with best place to park car & easy to talk to and friendly. Great location next to shopping area and lovely river side walk lined with some restaurants and pubs.

There was initially no kettle with tea refreshments in the room. It is a little pricey. A minor issue noticed with maintenance in the shower area by the sauna: taps & attachments were partially broken, meaning you had to hold the shower hose rather that hanging it up.

The breakfast is excellent, a very good choice of hot and cold foods and drinks, we were allowed breakfast containers for left overs. The swimming pool and sauna was lovely and assisted overall fitness, comfort and relaxation. The views over Gota alv (the river) is always pleasant. Staff are pleasant and attentive, we were given a kettle for the room as this was missing.

The hotel restaurant rarely opened for dinner and the variety of food was limited. There is a bar which is part of the reception area and manned by the reception staff. Drinks on offer were very limited.
