The beds were far too soft. That needs to be changed. There were very loud guests smoking and drinking in front of the main building, until midnight, when finally the manager told them to go to a different spot, because several guests had complained. I would have appreciated it, if they had done something about the noise a little bit faster.

An old herrgård, nicely kept, it feels like spending a night in a museum. The gardens are beautiful and give the hotel a calm and relaxing vibe, despite nearby road and industry. The little spa is a nice touch and quite new, plus we had a private sauna in our room. Breakfast was nice, too.

Very noisy room, the soundproofing needs to be greatly improved. Rather limited dinner menu, which would benefit from being changed daily. We found the bed uncomfortable.

The bridges and paths between Vänersborg and Vargön was a bit busy with cars, but the bike lanes was separat from the traffic. So all in all good.

Came to ride some of the bikepaths /sykkelleder in the area. Found a good loop, the Trollhättan-Vänersborg loop. The Ronnums Herrgard staff accommodated locking the bikes away at night. There are several bike paths crossing the area.

We arrived late and weren't aware that the restaurant was closed for dinner due to the holidays. We would have appreciated that having been very clear to us on booking. But we managed with delivery services.

Beautiful building, great buffet breakfast and Emma was amazing on check-in when we arrived late on a dark showy evening and after long drive.

A little dated and room felt a bit scruffy. TV had wires hanging out of it and speakers. Dining room was quite Spartan (even for Sweden 😂). And had a cold (non cozy) feel.

Too few staff which made it difficult to serve in an efficient manner. Dinner took more than 3 hours with a lot of waiting. Nice staff but overwhelmed although the dining room was not full. Same the next morning with chaos in the breakfast room. People waiting for tables, coffee machine needing attention constantly, running out of food etc.

Nice facilities and garden. Well located for our purposes. Positive and friendly staff who did their best. Good food.

- the Gym is somehow heated.. Why? It is way too warm there. - The cleaning didn't make the bed, nothing which I care too much, but it looks nicer when coming back in the evening - The light in the room is a bit weak.

I stayed here for 8 nights. The first 3 nights I was in the Suite with the Sauna, the other 5 in a superior room. Here I will rate the latter. Somehow the superior room was way better than the Suite with the Sauna. And it even included a private Sauna! So propably there is something messed up in their system, especially since I didn't have a Sauna in the "Suite with a Sauna" the first night. Otherwise: -Breakfast is excellent! - Bed was comfortable and the curtain was stopping the morning light to go in. - Clean - The Sauna which I was not expecting
