How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The sheer size of it was a bit overwhelming, but the professionalism made up for that.
Location was not in a very touristy area, but still easily accessible in walking distance. the room was fine, there was enough space, and it was as clean as was the bathroom. The breakfast was top.

Relatively small room, extremely simply decorated and it was difficult to move around with two small suitcases. The soundproofing is not the best, and the most annoying thing was the very loud cooling devices placed in the inner courtyard.
Excellent breakfast, a special surprise were the smoothies and ginger shoots. Friendly receptionist who gave us lots of good advice during check-in.

I feel that it was great value for money and the breakfast is excellent. Biggest praise I would give to Iren and Sara from the reception for being extra kind help me recover a pair of headsets I've lost. I felt very well taken cared of and everything was perfect. If we come back to Goteburg, Hotell Heden is for sure the first choice.

The coffee, and the distance to the room was a fair confusing walk!
Sauna and steam room is excellent. Gym is poor but fair for the money. Good value and location is fine - not particularly attractive an area but easy enough to get to places and plenty of good restaurants around. Breakfast also ideal. Beautiful view into the inner courtyard.

Being “upgraded” to a family room with a ladder in the middle of the room. Poor selection of TV channels for us- no BBC or CNN news available.
Accommodation was clean and comfortable as on previous visits. The Bistro is new and was very good. Breakfast was also excellent with plenty of choice and good food.

The bathroom for the bedroom could use a little more of attention, there was spider webs on the ceiling.
The place was super centered, easy access to public transportation. Facilities are modest but very Confortable. The breakfast buffet is spectacular.

The pillows!!! Awful. The staff were efficient, but not particularly friendly.

Due to the hot weather the temperature in the room was too hot. That bothered as especially at the nights, when you can leave the window open, because of the street noise. We were provided with small ventilators, but at the end it still was not enough for a good night sleep.
Breakfast was delicious. Had a chance to book a sauna privately, which was relaxing after end of the day. Room was clean a comfy.

The pillows are not very comfortable. Our room (on ground floor) window overlooked the parking lot. But we did not explicitely asked for a different room.
Very kind staff. They allowed us to store our bicycles on the luggage room during the night. Excellent breakfast with a good choice of gluten free food ( with a dedicated toaster as well). We will stay there again soon.

As I travelled with my parents and they are not used to the Swedish coffee, the possibility of having an espresso for breakfast would have been appreciated by them.
The environment was very cozy and comfortable, nice balance and connection with the surrounding nature.
