How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

No check in information prior to arrival, but all sorted on arrival via intercom. Asked for parking at time of booking & also before arrival. Received a message a day before saying it’s a height restriction of 170cm. Had to park in expensive public carpark

Finding the garage was difficult, getting into the building was hard at night as there was no staff and the door was locked & had to call reception for access.
Breakfast was good, beds were comfy, hotel room was clean

Our room had no windows, only a terrace door. So we had to sleep with an open door to the shared terrace, which is not best for safety.
We loved the hotel very much and can only recommend it. The staff is very friendly; perfect breakfast; nice view from the breakfast area; tea/coffee available all day; it is quiet at night; parking in the same building for a small additional price. The room was exceptionally clean. Even the areas under the beds were clean, which is so important for those traveling with a kid.

Very good breakfast. Self check-in worked well. It was nice that it was possible to park our car in the garage eventhough the garage was a bit scary and pokey. Good location.

Easy keyless entry, warm and personable staff. I loved the open dining lounge for use anytime of day to enjoy a tea or coffee or just to sit and visit friends.

This hotel was very accessible in the centre of Karlskona. We booked 2 rooms, which were sized well with comfortable beds. The bathroom was good if a little compact. There were a few outdated fixtures and fittings, but they did not impact on our stay. The breakfast was well presented and plenty of choices provided. There are shared kitchen facilities provided, which if you wanted to use was available.

pls. clean the rooms properly and check whether the work is done
Very nice location in the heart of the city. The 'self-check-in' went well, but the rooms should be checked whether everything is truly cleaned (e.g. vacuumer, shower,...). Breakfast nice and location good. Given that there is no staff at check-in the information is given pretty good (e.g. where parking is allowed, etc)

The partition in the shower area was not closed properly, and water flowed the bathroom floor during the shower. Complete self-service brings some inconveniences, such as the room temperature is low at night, there are no extra quilts prepared in the room, and also no way to find services at night.
The location is good，and breakfast was okey.

The bed is abit too soft for me but still comfortable. Toiletries coukd be better.
Breakfast was great. Room size is good. Self check in and check out is smooth and easy with simple instructions. Location is good.

I had a problem with the check-in process. The automatic system repeatedly failed to send me the code for opening the doors. However, the staff was kind enough to send me an SMS manually at night. I had also booked a garage, but the system did not send me any information about it, so I gave up on the garage (I didn’t have to pay it in advance).
Perfect breakfast. Changing arrival date was not problem. Supportive staff.

Even though the reception was unmanned in the evening it work well with access codes. Very good location in the city centre of Karlskrona. Close to the water and other activities. Reception was manned in the morning and personnel very friendly. Breakfast excellent with a big variety of dishes.

Nothing in particular about the hotel but be careful where you park your car. We parked our car in the street just outside the hotel but got a fine in the morning because you couldn’t park there between 8-10 in the morning on Fridays. Of course we should have checked better or booked a spot in the hotel’s garage to avoid this. The hotel did send us a mail about the possibility to park in their garage but the mail arrived one day too late.
Easy check-in (got a code via sms), comfortable room and great Swedish breakfast! Central location.
