How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Staff were non evident...box room.......couldn't swing a cat!.....for size of room as I am disabled it was difficult to manage, especially the parking.....shower really tiny as well as the bathroom....I am sure a Swede would have rejected the room, but you have my money....I rest my case. We are sorry not to meet your requirement, dear customer. But as we stated when you booked, we do not host exellent disable aid at the hotell. We feel we were not evident on this matter, also there were no fee for cancelling the room if you should have choosen not to stay the 3 nights. We have had both swedes and other nationalities staying at our hotell, and in this room for many years and not recieving any complaints about being substandard. We are sorry for your inconvinience and hope you will visit Sweden again Regards

Verified reviewIt was in a perfect location, we had a room with windows on two sides that looked out across the Archipelago. It was very quiet, the beds were very comfortable and the staff very helpful. We would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.

The room was quite hot, even when the weather outside turned cold. Opening the window only helped a bit.

Arrived 6.30 pm on Friday night, no staff. Only two parking spots, both busy. VERY unpolite respons from staff via sms when asking for P spot. This is not an hotel, this an unstaffed B&B a women preparing breakfast.
The check in hours are well informed both on websites and via guests booking confirmation. Information regarding parking spaces can be found both on our own website and on booking.com. The fact that guests think that information that parking is located 150-200m from the hotel is an unpolite answer is really nothing we can do anything about. We have an ongoing conversation with our municipality to get more parking spaces at Fisketången. On the note that we are not a hotel, we can only refer to 25+ years of experience and other guests' reviews. Verified reviewThe location and view from the room over the water with the boats sailing by was stunning. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was on the small side but great for 1 night. The staff were very nice and the room was clean.
The noisy fridge in the room that kicked on and off all through the night - would rather not have a fridge at all. The whole place felt a little like a hostel type place, not the best furniture - old sofas in one area and basic old wooden chairs. A little basic with no nice touches - that could have made a big difference. It was also the most expensive hotel we had during our 11 nights travelling around Sweden - you are paying for the location - but even then it was overpriced as we stayed in some stunning locations that cost a lot less. Breakfast wasn't impressive, little choice.

Verified reviewVery nice location if you like it quiet. Directly at the waterside. Good breakfast. Nice staff. Despite some info below you should be aware of when booking I enjoyed my stay there.
When the weather was not so nice room was cooling down a lot and heating did not work. If you have a car you need to park a bit further away after luggage drop off. But it is still easy walking distance (3-5 min) and there are sufficient free parking spaces. Shops and restaurants of Kungshamn are further away.

I wish I could arrive the hotel earlier and enjoy the night. (I ended up arriving at 9pm and didn't do much except sleeping)
