How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location is perfect, just in the city center. Breakfast and dinner (which was included!) were very good.

The room was huge and the bed extremely comfortable. Really enjoyed the meals provided. The staff were also a highlight of our stay as they were so friendly and accommodating. Location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city. Highly recommended.

Have a gym mat in the gym room that are not suitable for yoga. Proper Yoga mat would have been nice.
Staff is helpful and meals are plenty and tasty.

The staff were very nice. I felt the food was good but the selection was average
Location is in the center of town. There is a large shopping mall across the street. There is a parking garage 1 block away. The hotel is located on the top three floors of a retail store but very accessible with 2 elevators. One elevator is on the outside of the building with glass to observe your descent.

I was in this hotel before, everything is great. The best thing is the fact that you have breakfast, Swedish fika, and dinner included. Staff is helpful and kind. There are other facilities (gym, meeting room) but we did not use them. I would definitively stay here again.

Great offer for breakfast and dinner (both included in price). The staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is located in the centre of the city, just above an H&M store in the world :)

The tea and coffe cups dont have handles which means you burn yourself on the cup when you carry them to the table, aweful. Please change cups and then the breakfast will be even better. Was already one of the best I have eaten!

The hotel is central so it was a tiny bit noisy on the Saturday night - but just normal city sounds of people out enjoying themselves
Great location, nice room, clean, great got powerful shower. The staff were all lovely. Having breakfast, fika, and dinner included made such a difference as well. The evening meal was a simple hot buffet but the food was so tasty and healthy - I really enjoyed it.

Fantastic NYE stay here again this year. Love this hotel, it's so comfortable, understated peaceful and quiet. Spotless with a Nice dinner and super breakfast. Right in town, short walk from the train station and to the lake. The bus to the airport stops right outside. Great VFM

Small room with a basic bathroom, but for me the bonus was that the bed was super-comfortable. The breakfast room and lobby have a nice "feel-at-home" vibe. The breakfast was excellent: a lot of choice, "continental" type of breakfast buffet with warm dishes, bread, cheese, ham, fruit, excellent (!) granola, yoghurt, coffee, tea, ... We arrived very late. I appreciated that the reception is still open at 1AM.

Maybe it would be nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room too.
Super nice staff, good food, excellent value. We had a dog friendly room and there were even some snacks, poo bags and bowls for my dog already there. Nice touch.

Staff at reception were courteous. They also arranged special vegetarian meal in dinner for us. Good quality of cake was served at Fika.

The gym was really small and opened at 5.30. The dinner was quite poor for vegetarians and it was mostly the same things with a veg patty to go with it, except on Thursday when they had a lovely lasagna.
Breakfast was pretty good. The place was also very clean. The staff was also mostly very friendly.

Nicely decorated spacious room with comfy bed. Fantastic location right on the main street in town opposite the bus stop to the airport. Excellent light dinner and breakfast with coffee available all day. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful. Luggage storage available. Vasteras is a wonderful town. Highly recommend.
