Our room overlooked a beautiful lake! Amazing and spectacular! The lady at the desk was wonderful! We had great conversations with her and she booked a lovely canal cruise for us! The breakfast and dinner were special and delicious. The door and window opened fully and the air was so fresh!

Breakfast was fine. Not a huge selection but good overall. The beds were comfortable and the staff were lovely. What we appreciated the most was the stunning views directly over the lake, the peace and quiet. Amazing location. We shall be back gain.

Tired hotel, both public spaces and the rooms. The rooms are very basic, we wouldn't mind but given the price it was underwhelming.

Very welcoming staff, good sized rooms, clean and great views of the lake. Breakfast was perfect with the added bonus of cooking to order. As an Interior designer the space was well done without being over the top like some hotels.

Everything was perfect!

These were the best hosts ever! The owners, Ceclia and Jonas, truly know how to make a hotel experience personal and unique. We felt cared for and received such special service for our entire stay. We loved them! We had the most wonderful time at Håveruds Hotell. We came as guests and we left feeling like they were family and wanted to take them with us back to America. It truly was the most amazing visit during our month in Europe. There were so many ways that this is such an amazing place in Sweden to stay. First, our room with a balcony was overlooking the stunning lake. Relaxing on the deck was so restful and restorative. The chef, Cecilia, was an angel and made the best salads we have eaten with an incredible abundance of shrimp and wild garlic dressing made with local ingredients. Her dinners were carefully crafted and plated with such delicious taste. And, I especially loved her homemade pumpkin seed and sesame seed butter. (She should bottle this and sell it!) Jonas served up the most incredible abundant breakfasts. He was so kind and helpful showing us the property and assisting my mom through the grounds. And, he must have scheduled the sunshine for our entire visit:) But my favorite part was our special surprise sauna celebration. This is not to be missed with a floating sauna heated by a fireplace, right on the water so I could try jumping in! A true Swedish experience! Shestan and Phillipa were angles as well. They took care of our every need and made us feel welcome and at home. We will definitely go back to this gem and hopefully bring our family as well. We did grab a handful of brochures and have handed them out to others. Do not miss this lovely Hotell experience in the most gorgeous setting! After returning home, it shines as a highlight of our most amazing adventure! We miss you all at Haveruds!

Not much to complain about. The beds were a little hard for us. Some of the furniture was a little run down like the armchairs. Coffee maker would be nice.

Great location at the lake and close to the harbour to go on a Dalsland canal tour. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Very quiet and clean. Gluten-free and lactose-free items breakfast items are available upon request.

Breakfast offered a large variety of options. We also ate dinner at the hotel and were liked the choice of food on offer. Staff were helpful as I'm disabled.

The Håveruds Hotell was the highlight of my trip to Sweden. The hotel is on the lake, and walking distance to the Håverud aqueduct. The views are breathtaking, and the service is unparalleled. It’s a family run hotel, the owners Cecelia and Jonas are amazing! I rented a kayak for several hours, an e bike for a day, and did a 2 hour floating sauna session. They serve fresh breakfast every morning. I ate dinner here two of the nights as well, the burger and fries were phenomenal. I’m sad I have to leave, I can’t wait to come back. Also worth mentioning that as a female solo traveler, I felt very safe the entire time. Cecelia went out of her way to drive me to the train station the morning of my departure.

Exceptional location, at the border of the lake. You can relax and unwind, having a drink or food at the terrace. The chef offers a limited menu, but each dish is yummi, The hotel is a good starting point to explore Dalsland. I can strongly recommend this hotel

Nothing, everything was more than excellent.

A big thank you to the staff of the hotel - they made our stay really special, it felt like home. Even upon arriving very late, they reopened the kitchen just for us - you rarely find that! The breakfast was very good and the view from the room and the restaurant to the lake is beautiful. You can even rent e-bikes directly with the hotel. We will return for sure! It was our best stay in Sweden!

Just a habit of mine: I like to take a cup of coffee on my room when I wake up (before shower/breakfast). But on the other hand, freshly brewed free coffee was available in the breakfast/dining area throughout the day.

Staff: Friendly, competent, and service-minded - 10 out of 10 Wonderful location with lake view and with direct access to the lake for swimming or kayaking - indoor faclities like children playroom. Personal atmosphere.
