Very original stay in the middle of a beautiful national park still outside the most beaten tracks. The historical heritage of the place gives the rooms a special charm. The staff is incredibly nice and kind, especially the restaurant manager.

United KingdomThe restaurant books up quickly and is quite pricey, though the food is good (all meat is local). The windows are not super well insulated noise-wise, so on the second morning we were awoken at 6am by some other guests talking outside the window for a good 20 minutes.
The staff was really friendly and the hotel is located in a lovely location by a lake + river. Our family room was really spacious and comfortable.

SwedenWe loved everything and would totally recommend it! Perhaps the bathrooms could be renovated (but they have all facilities you need, they just emphasize the rural environment).
Very welcoming staff, kind recommendations and service. Quiet and large rooms in historical buildings with "rural Swedish" touches (for instance, the Gysinge paperwall). Dogs are welcome, and it is very safe and fun for children. Great breakfast, lovely to walk around the area, walking distance to a birdwatching area and the Naturum, with many hiking options - the location is within a nature reserve and very close to Färnebofjärden national park. We had dinner there and it was a wonderful surprise, included local products and child-friendly options.

It’s located in beautiful surroundings and there are great hikes all around. Try the walk over the old train bridges! Superb food including breakfast in the restaurant.
