Breakfast seating area was dirty. In our room, the wall behind the toilet was covered in fingerprints from previous male occupants who used the wall as a balance when using the toilet. It clearly had not been wiped/disinfected in a long time. Quite unacceptable. I took photographs and showed a member of staff.

It was in July and with a lot of sunshine and outside temperatures reaching 28-30°C, air conditioning was badly missed. Our room was on the western side of the hotel (odd numbers) and was very hot in the afternoon and evening (and very dark as we had to draw the curtains) and even the breakfast/dinner room was unpleasantly hot around dinner time.

The breakfast buffet offers plenty of choices and is served till 10am every day - a big plus. There is little variation from day to day but the abundance of options makes up for that. Sadly, the croissants were mostly gone when we went to have breakfast around 9.30 am. The personel was very nice and accomodating. We arrived late at night and without our lost luggage and the front desk supplied us with a entry code and a USB charger. The rooms are reasonably spacious and even have a small fridge. The beds are comfortable (the sleeping couches not so much) and there is plenty of free parking space just outside of the hotel. The hotel offers an inexpensive dinner buffet (a different dish every day from Mon to Sat, 6pm to 8pm).

We arrived late at night and although the check in went perfectly fine, the staff could be a bit more welcoming. No particular issue though. Also many of the food items of the breakfast buffet were obviously old from the days before which I guess can be explained given that there weren't many guests at the hotel this time of the year

Glutenfree didn't have it's own area. There was only 1 toaster for everyone to use - gluten + glutenfree. I.e not sage for celiacs disease. No toaster bags available. I had to ask for butter as my son with celiacs disease can not use the butter that everyone else uses as it is contaminated with gluten. Food on breakfast did not have signs with ingredients listed. I.e no allergi information. One had to ask about each item

Unfortunately our room was on the second floor and there is no elevator. I understand a lot of hotels in Europe don;t have elevators but it is hard to carry your luggage up the stairs. I had an elderly parent so I had to carry her luggage as well.

Just stayed one night as I was going through town. Location was easy to find. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were delicious. Staff was friendly.

The towels, the hand towels especially, smelled like they had been left in the washing machine for too long. They left a very unpleasant scent on your hands. When i ordered the hotel, i did it in the belief that there was a swimming pool there.There is even a picture of one. When we asked the staff about it, they told us that the picture was taken by a hotel guest at a different hotel in another country. So that was a bit misleading.

It's a nice small hotel with a helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were nice and tidy. The breakfast included had a good variety of food. A coffee machine that was available all day. They have a nice relax pool. The fitness room they have is very small but has some equipment so you can work out. If you want a bigger gym, you can borrow a card, no cost, to the fitness centre just around the corner. It has everything you need, i recommend it.

Old hotel, carpeted floors in the hallway does not sit well with me in case of fire, and also they seemed very old so there was a slight odour in the hallways. They missed cleaning behind the bed and sofa… I found things when looking for a socket. Bathroom seemed clean enough and somewhat renovated but for that price I expected a better one I guess. When comparing to others of the same price. If they had cleaned the room better and a bit cheaper price I could easily have stayed longer. Although Im afraid I found Östersund extremely boring. No offence 🙈

Spacious rooms - very comfy beds - renovated rooms - supershort distance to the bus, and not far to walk to town either. Slept really well. Friendly staff when they were there - but not 24/7 reception

The common areas could be more cared, they looked worn out. Also, we had to wait 15 minutes for check-in, the person arrived late.

The hotel was somewhat old, but it was functional, and the room was good, large (with an extra sofa bed), a good bathroom, a good bed. The breakfast was very good. The place is located right off the highway, close to a mini-mall. It was convenient for a stop like ours, though a bit far from the center (we didn't go there, since it was very cold outside). There was free parking outside.
