Loved how comfortable it was, beds were great, clean, easy check in and out, very central location. Shower was really good too. Good choice of breakfast options.

Flight of stairs to access reception- difficult when you have suitcases. After that there was an elevator. The street noise was pretty loud if you had the window open - our room was facing onto the street, manageable if windows were closed.

The receptionist also called Emma after the hotel was amazing. She makes a great false potato cake for an afternoon snack and organise an early take away breakfast for our train journey.

The property was in a great position, clean, comfy beds, great breakfast and lovely staff. It was only a small hotel and made you feel like it was a guest house. We arrived after reception was closed and it was a very easy process to get and and go to our rooms.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Late check-in after reception was closed on Sunday night - it went well with the door/key codes supplied. Unfortunately, had to leave very early the next day before breakfast, so missed out on the wonderful breakfast that we had experienced the prior week. The room was very large and clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel with the wonderful attention to detail.

The room was very spacious with lovely high ceilings and a very comfortable bed with soft bedding. The breakfast was absolutely out of this world, amazing attention to detail with such a wide selection available and impressive ingredients. I particularly liked the fruit juice 'shot' with the beautiful ginger flavour - a great way to wake up and start the day! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back soon!

All was great at Hotel Emma.

Location excellent. On a pedestrian street so very quiet even though downtown. Lovely, helpful staff. Great breakfast. Comfy beds and linens.

Worn furnishings. Peeling paint. Chipped bathroom sink (room 30). Because it’s in a pedestrian street, there’s no parking at the hotel so we followed their good directions and found public parking 2 blocks away but it was no fun to drag our suitcases 2 blocks in the rain! There’s a steep flight of steps from the street up to Reception. This was no problem for us but others should be aware of this just in case.

Breakfast was a very nice Swedish-style breakfast with everything you wanted and needed. The waffles with cloudberry jam was a big bonus!

An incredibly practical and guest-friendly hotel - I was on a long road trip and Emma had everything I needed to re-boot - including a freezer compartment in the room fridge for my picnic bag ice packs! Lovely genuine old school atmosphere - no hyped up decor - simply large, airy and comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfast buffet. Thank you 🫶🏼

    Nothing.
