Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThat you couldn’t check in before 3pm. That the pool had a charge. The rooms in the new part at the back were not as nice or spacious as the ones at the front of the hotel in the old part.
The location was amazing. The breakfast was great, so much choice. The gym was amazing too, so many machines and options. The fact you had a great spa on site. In general the facilities were great.

United KingdomIt would be nice if there were however some more vegan protein options like sausage on the buffet, but overall it was one of the better hotels we have stopped in for choice. Originally, we booked the hotel just because it had a rooftop pool and when booking through strawberry it unfortunately does not tell you that you have to pay for this: 295KR each! Whilst we did pay for it and it was very lovely as a treat on our honeymoon I can understand how this may upset some guests as the listing did not tell you. It would also be nice if the hotel advertised its amazing 2 4 1 on the spa deal for guests as this was very appreciated for us as a couple but we did not know and would not have know if we hadn’t checked the TV for information.
We booked this hotel as a treat for our honeymoon, and when I first booked it and started to read some of the reviews I was a little bit worried. However, despite other persons dislikes - this hotel went above our expectations. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, they could not do more to be accommodating a truly either at the front desk, or at the breakfast service. Our room was in the new part of the hotel, the decoration was stunning it really felt high class and as much as others complain about how dark the room was, it was absolutely perfect for Swedish summer and helped create a nice sleeping atmosphere after a long day. The breakfast… SO GOOD! The selection was brilliant, even lots of choices for vegans/vegetarians from porridge to boll. During breakfast plates were cleared quickly, staff were more than happy to help you if you had an issue and food was noticeably being changed for freshness. Whilst we were there we also did the rooftop pool and the spa. Our spa and pool visit was very relaxing and the facilities were clean and refreshing. Only thing to note would be that the “treat” kitchen does advertise as having fika and smoothies - but when you get in this is an extra cost. The hotel bars were lovely it was especially nice that they could make mocktails if you asked them and they were the bartenders choice. The hotel also went out of its way to give us a little goody bag with water and treats and a lovely card wishing us a nice time on our honeymoon. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

United KingdomThe temperature and power output from the air-conditioning was really poor and the weather was exceptionally hot. This actually made it quite unpleasant to be in the hotel room and whilst the rooms themselves were lovely and well equipped, it really was a big negative, and meant that it really wasn’t worth the price paid. The restaurants are very nice, but the food I had was so salty it actually was not possible to eat it all.
Great location, really convenient for the train station and the city Centre.

SwedenI didn't like the busyness of the hotel. Breakfast felt quite stressful as you have to book a time slot. This means that people tend to descend all at once, so the dining room and buffet was busy and not the relaxing start you want from your day. I also didn't like the fact that once I had booked the hotel, I was sent an email saying I could book the rooftop pool for an additional cost. I feel they need to be more upfront about this rather than you book first and then are surprised that you are paying extra for this.
I loved the location of the hotel. It's right next to the train station. The entrance is grand and the decor is easy on the eye. The rooms aren't big but they are well equipped. The bed was also very comfortable.

SwedenOnly reason I don't give it a 9 or 10 is the extra charges... Pool access, an extra hour for check-in or check-out... I get the concept, but it really does not feel right with me.
This is about as good as it gets at this pricerange. Location is outstanding. Clean, comfortable, nice design, fast elevators.. everything is excellent. Breakfast has all you can desire and then some.

United KingdomThe pool / health club was £23 for 2 hours, not even for the duration of your stay. This is a massively overpriced facility and should be included in your stay. The rooftop bar was closed when we enquired as it had been very quiet, so we went to the front terrace bar which was also closed and there were glasses everywhere. Shame but assume there were some staff shortages.
Beautiful hotel right next to Central Station, gorgeous old post office building. Staff were absolutely lovely (as are most people in Sweden!), lovely decor and furniture/art. Room was small but comfortable and nicely furnished. Breakfast was extensive and good.
