Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkThere is a crack in the washbasin and its color turns to yellow, and it would be better if it had changed.
Excellent location, breakfast has decent diversity, although the room is not big, it is quite cosy.

SlovakiaHowever we had one major issue with the air conditioning/ventilation system. The air vent is located right above the bed, so it blows cold air directly onto your face. The system is set to one temperature and you simply can’t change it. We made a complaint about it – a maintenance guy came, told us he had fixed it, and said we could adjust the temperature up to 23°C. But this only worked during the day. At night the system switched back and continued blowing cold air straight onto the bed. We even tried covering the vent with towels, but it didn’t help. As a result, we went home with sore throats. So, if you don’t like sleeping in the cold, keep this in mind before booking a stay here. If we had been staying in Stockholm for more than 3 nights, we would have changed hotels after the second night.
Hotel was overall very nice – great location, superb breakfast, and friendly staff.

United KingdomIt is a big and rather corporate hotel. It felt a bit anonymous. The foyer was huge and full of lights. Breakfast space was enormous and quite crowded.

New ZealandExpensive for what you get - though less so than equivalent hotels around the railway station and Gamla Stan. That’s Stockholm unfortunately.
Excellent breakfast, included in the price. Room was good size, only thing lacking was an electric jug. Hotel is at an easy walking distance to the central railway (and other public transport) station, to Gamla Stan, and central city shops, but relatively quiet neighboorhood. Many good restaurants within a few minutes walk.

AustriaYou have to like staying at such an old building. No elevator, so staying at the top means climbing a lot of narrow stairs. For the same reasons the ceillings in most rooms are very low. (could be a serious problem above 6.2 feet). There is some noise until late evening coming from the tourists on the streets, but during the nights it was mostly quiet. We were adviced to save hot water, but one filling of the bathtub was no problem, if you need a lot of long showers this could change.
Something special. Extremely old building. Excellent view from the balcony! Located 1 minute away from Nobel Prize Museum, yet only 3 minutes from the next subway station. Many things have been lovingly prepared and adapted. Solid Wi-Fi.

HungaryThe cleanliness of the rooms and corridors could be improved.
It is located in a well-kept part of the city, close to the center, and the breakfast is five-star. Conveniently located near the metro, in a pleasant neighborhood.

GermanyFrequented by bus tours, large crowds at breakfast storming the buffet. Hard to get an elevator - they only fit 4 people and there are people waiting on every floor to get one . After 10 min of waiting we always ended up taking the 5 flights of stairs … The rooms are very dated, simple and absolutely tiny.

United KingdomThe first receptionist we encountered was not particularly welcoming or friendly at all which was disappointing as it was our initial experience with the hotel. When we returned later and were able to check in, a different receptionist was very pleasant. Despite ordering a packed breakfast and being assured it would be available at 5am, there wasn't one for us We were told then we should have ordered it the night before and not at check-in. However, a quick solution was found and we took away a packed breakfast so all ended well.
This hotel was perfect for our stay in Stockholm. It is a little out of the way with not many restaurants nor other hotels in the vicinity - unless you knew where to look I suppose. It was much bigger and busier than expected but the room was very quiet. We never heard anyone in neighbouring rooms or in the corridor. The housekeeping staff were very nice. The breakfast was a superb spread with so much choice. We easily walked to the hotel from the station and also walked to and from the tourist spots. All in all our experience was very positive and we would recommend this hotel to friends and would return ourselves.

United StatesThere is a Gluten Free breakfast option but because of the corner location, there is a lot of cross-contamination, and I saw multiple people using the GF toaster with regular bread.
Nice area, very central to visit but also a quiet neighborhood.

United KingdomWe asked for early check-in and was told "subject to availability" at check-in we were told straight away that this was only available to members, otherwise there would be a charge. They could have advised that in response to my message and we would have looked aroung T- Central before arriving. Also at breakfast a sign states "free coffee al day" but we witnessed an olderman being reprimanded at the reception for helping himself. He offered to pay but they said it is free to members he asked how he becomes a member and they just let him have the coffee. When i asked at the bar in the evening the server agreed the sign was not clear but free coffee is only for members. And extra few words on the sign would have helped. I felt communication was not great but face to face the staff were great.
The breakfast was amazing. Buffet style 7am to 11am. Very busy but always foung space to sit. There are 3 lifts that work with your room key on the way up. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was small but adequate and clean . The fridge was stocked, so there no space to put your own bottle. We booked through booking.com and got a very good rate . If you exit Rahuten station at the exit with the name ending .....garten you go up the escalator and take the left corridor then up the stairs (the elevator is being replaced) and turn left at the top of the stairs the entrance to the hotel is on the left revevolving doors a few metres up.It is veryy convenient and the station is only 1 stop from T-central where all the train lines and busses can be accessed. Trams nearby and biat/ ferries with the SL travel card or app.
