How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Mediocre breakfast and the breakfast staff were all miserable looking. It was also difficult to tell who were hotel staff and who were hotel guests.
The room was comfortable and clean.

I only stayed one night as I was waiting for furniture in my new accommodation. I stayed in a twin bedroom which might’ve seemed too small if you were two people. However, for one person it was absolutely fine! The shower was nice and my bedroom windows opened to a quiet courtyard. The man in the reception was welcoming and the breakfast selection was good. The overall vibe of the hotel was old-school stylish and cosy. The location is topnotch! Would stay there again.

The rooms were really basic and the beds very small. Ours was on the ground floor and a bit noisy.

The TV was on the older side but we had a tablet so we just watched a movie on our laptop. It was Gothia cup when we stayed which made the area mayhem. Avoid staying during that time if you come by car. Parking was in the public carparks but the majority had height restrictions so we had to get directions from the staff to find a place we'd fit our car with roof-box. This is not the hotels fault but a thing to remember if driving.
We really loved the tiny croissants at breakfast. The hotel is beautiful and has very nice rooms. Rooms have inner and outer doors which keeps it private and quiet. We loved the breakfast room.

Breakfast has very short hours.
This is a no frills hotel that doesn't pretend to be anything more than that. But it certainly delivers on what it intends to be. It is certainly value for the money.

The breakfast was good, far better than some of the reviews would indicate. The location was good, all 8 recommended things to see easily accessible as were a good variety of restaurants.

The sink drain requires some cleaning.
Location is perfect, close to restaurants, museums, traffic and points of interest. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Perfect for a short stay.

I've seen it in other reviews before I come her, so I wasn't surprised, but it would be nice to mop the floor more often.
Perfect location in the city center. Good sound insulation. A quiet hotel. A varied breakfast offer. Gluten-free bread available. Friendly staff. Within a hundred meters affordable shops and fasfoods

Beds are not comfortable, duvets were very dirty, closet not functional at all, bathroom very wrongly configurated, soap had mildew in it, no hanger for towels at all in the bathroom. Very unpleasant receptionist who also monitored all the guests during breakfast. Breakfast very poor, limited options. Will not be coming back.
City center, supermarket and train station very close by.

Very noisy both nights we stay - you can hear everything through the walls especially at 4AM when drunk people are returning back to their rooms to continue the party. Of course it is not a fault of the hotel but it makes the stay unpleasant. The breakfast could be of better quality - you can tell the food served (meat balls, eggs, bacon, ham) is not of the best quality. Honestly I would rather go get the breakfast outside.

The scrambled eggs were cold and the bacon not that great. Otherwise a fine breakfast. Would have liked Kleenex and body lotion in the room

Lift didn’t work, a bit shabby
Good location for where we were attending a concert. Lots of shops and places to eat. Nice breakfast.

Breakfast has such a small window gap that I missed it one of the days I was here. The bathroom was incredibly claustrophobic. The room also gets very warm.
Good quality for a single traveller like myself and was a decent price. The bed was actually very comfortable and was pretty quiet and peaceful in the room. Location is amazing and has plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.

The room was a bit smelly. But the worst was, the sheet doesnt look clean and when I open the sheet, a giant silver fish was crewing underneath

Great location, staff at reception was helpful and assist me to leave my luggage in my room much earlier than check in so I could start exploring the city.
