Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandPictures on the website are a little missleading especially about the sauna. Afterall with this price the cabin is excellent! Take note that you cannot use sleeping bags in the beds, but you can rent bedlinen from the owner.
Very cozy little cabin right next to owners house and other cabins. Clean and equipped with everything you need inc. Kitchen hardware. Location by the lakeside was nice and the host is really helpfull.

SwedenThe place was nice and comfy. It was close to a frozen lake so when the aurora hits, it was exceptional. The place fits for the 4 of us, with a complete set of kitchen utensils for cooking.

PolandI don't like showers with no "border" on a floor between it and the rest of the bathroom. Curtain helps from above - but water flows below it.
It's a great place with the owner who lives nearby, and is very helpful in any situation (from tour booking, to providing some additional necessities). Cabin itself is cozy and clean. Kitchen has everything needed. Even in minus 20-25C it's warm inside. Snowmobile tour with the owner was great. We also enjoyed god sledding organised by him and his colleagues. Famous Ice Hotel is just 10 min drive from this place. It's a bit away from Kiruna, so at night the sky is very clear with no light pollution.

DenmarkReally nice experience. The host Stefan is the best. He is very helpful. We will be back soon. The location is perfect for exploring the northern part of Norrbotten (Swedish Lapland). We went to Abisko (twice), Nikkaluokta, Kebnekaise, Jokkmokk, Karesuando, Kaaresuvanto (Finland) and Narvik (Norway) - and other places. We really enjoyed the midnight-sun experience that you can get above the polar circle at summertime.

United KingdomThe guest had to book activities with them if staying in the property. We were happy with the husky sledding but the wilderness safari was not worth it. We were basically touring on a motorway, looking for moose and reindeer from inside the car. We were able to discover a few mooses from a distance. Hot water run out after dishwashing and only one person took shower. The other person ended up had to take shower the next day.
Locate near a beautiful lake, quiet and relaxing. The property was clean and had everything you needed. Stefen was helpful and flexible with our requests.

BrazilThat our stay in the house was so short. 😄
I liked absolutely everything. Great experience of escaping from the city and being among nature. Stefan is a great host! We also took a snowmobile tour and enjoyed winter activities. Also, from the house along the lake you can walk in an hour to the ice hotel, and along the way you can enjoy the snow, mountains, forest and beautiful views. I hope that we will return to Camp Caroli once again to see the northern lights again and live this experience away from the city alone with nature.

ColombiaEverything was fine, there is no complaints.
The camp is really nice, it offers lots of activities to do in Jukkasjärvi. Amanda and Stefan are great to help you to reserve and execute several tours such as snowmobile, dog sledding, northern lights tour, and more. The camp is 3.5 kilometers away from Jukkasjärvi, which makes it perfect to be in a quiet and peaceful place that is still close to the town. The house where I stayed was exactly as displayed on Booking website. It had a comfortable bed, a nice kitchen, a bathroom with shower, and a living room. Overall, it was a very pleasant place to stay away from the city.

United KingdomStefan, if you could just control the weather for next time we come?! ;-)
Thanks so much Stefan and Amanda! We arrived in exceptionally cold weather (-35c). Stefan had gone out of his way to make sure the cabin was comfortable and warm. Amanda helped us work out tours around the extreme cold and in the end we had a private snowmobile tour with Stefan and also loved the husky tour. The location is absolutely stunning and we also got to see the northern lights after being alerted by Stefan.

CroatiaA group of friends traveled to Kiruna (Abisko National Park just 1 hour and 30 mins away) and we were very happy with the accommodation we chose. The hosts contacted us soon after the booking and wanted to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Stefan welcomed us and the cabin was clean and warm. We enjoyed our stay there. A little bit ouside of the city, we got to experience the most amazing Northern Lights we could have ever imagined!
