There was a heater for the bathroom towels, great idea in winter (and great to dry clothes), but I didn't see how to switch it off and I was concerned for the energy consumption.

In the heart of the city center, nearby restaurants/shops/train station. I particularly liked how the simplicity of the hotel makes it environmentally sustainable. Staff was very helpful.

The gym had an amazing view but was seriously lacking for equipment. There are no free weights and the resistance training machines present maxed out at relatively low weight, were not adjustable to different body types, and did not offer a way to target many muscle groups. Instead, a single smith rack with a bench would be cheaper and allow comprehensive training. Or even some free weights or a pull-up bar would allow a variety of body weight exercises.

The room was quiet and clean, and the bed was comfy. Having a sauna (and steam room) in the building was much appreciated!

Price is much to high. It has nearly doubled within a year or so.

Building is a bit of a treck from the reception. Parking was private but pricy.

Big shower space. Receptionist changed us to a room with two 90 beds pushed together, as we were staying so many nights in a row. Apparently a standard double bed is a 140, so keep this in mind when booking.

Nice affordable hotel close to the train station - easy to access, the check-in is in the neighboring hotel. Overall very good value for the price. Wish I knew about the sauna access for guests!

One day our room wasn't made. We slept long but weren't aware that that would mean that there won't be any cleaning.

When I arrived at Sure Hotel, it was around midnight and -8 degrees. I buzzed the hotel door. The receptionist that picked up told me that I had to walk to their sister hotel (Western Esplanade Hotel) for the reception. The walk in that cold weather was certainly not pleasant. The fact that there was no one ever in the hotel to receive one was also not likeable.

What I liked particularly was how friendly the staff from the Best Western Esplanade hotel were. They were particularly nice. The caretakers were also helpful; they gave me a heads-up the following morning about them being about to close the breakfast within 10 min.

Windows could be opened only very narrow, just a small part. During our 1-2. stay in the hotel I suffered from this, but this time when I mentioned my problem at reception (Hotel Plaza), they arranged a bigger room for us, with balcony…with fresh air… for no extra costs. I appriciated it very much.

Location is perfect. The hotel was quiet, the beds are comfortable. Room and bathroom were clear. Enough place for clothes. There is a loundry in hotel with washmachine and dryer, can be used for free. Check in at Hotel Plaza (few minutes walk), receptionists are always helpful and kind. It was our 3. visit in Västerås, stayd always at this hotel.
