Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandThe title "hotel" might be a bit misleading. I would rather classify it as a bed & breakfast or hostel. All rooms are located around the common area/ breakfast kitchen, meaning right outside your door there is somebody else sitting and having breakfast. It feels a bit squeezy. Breakfast is very simple and rustic, you grab your own plates etc. and also put them in the dishwasher after. With that in mind I found it a bit pricey.
Good location, close to train station and restaurants, but still quiet area, comfortable beds, quiet, good size bathroom, short drive to Furuvik park

The hotel was in a great location, right by the train station with the river opposite. Room and beds were comfortable, breakfast was good and the staff were helpful.

SwedenThe breakfast was a bit lackluster. A bit more variety in breads, some normal butter and coffee not from "cafe bar" would make the breakfast a whole lot better. The industrial roll holder was mostly in the way a lot and makes it feel like a public bathroom. Bathroom could have used some decoration or color to feel a bit more homey. Hallway between the outer gate and the entrance was always a bit too dark, but it was not really a problem finding the door. Tho most of my complaints are smaller, but my biggest complaint is the price. Tho I enjoyed my stay and with some tweks it could be a great option, a room here was the same price as most other hotels in the local area doesn't make me feel like I got a great value for the cost.
I liked the cosy feeling of the whole operation. Staff were very kind and excellent. Beds were a bit hard, but that's the way I like them. There was no hassle checking in or out. I enjoyed my stay all-and-all

Czech RepublicWe had a short stay, however there was no one at reception at any time we were there, not even at 10 AM. That sort of felt impersonal in an otherwise very cosy and lovely establishment which actually has a great personality.
Breakfast and location were great!

SwedenI would not call it a hotel. I used to work in a very similar environment in Stockholm's Old Town as a receptionist that worked just in the morning. This had a very similar vibe - place inside a building, no staff available 24/7, common kitchen. I was expecting something a bit different from the name, but the overall experience was okay.
The stay was very pleasant. Nice room, facilities, staff (although I saw one just in the morning) and breakfast too. There was a possibility to fix yourself 'an evening sandwich' and warm drinks were available 24/7 which was a big plus as the machine had coffee, chocolate, chai etc. Place was very clean and quiet.

Private room, good location, very friendly staff. Got parked straight outside the door, and it wasn't expensive to park. Nice bakery a few doors down. Breakfast was very basic but I found a few things I could eat as a wheat-intolerant vegan, so that was nice!

South AfricaParking is only available on the street, which is metered. Unfortunately, this can only be paid using an app that would not work on either phone we had. I'm expecting to receive a fine in the mail as a reward for this institutionalised idiocy.
Good central location. Functional breakfast. Check-in was self-service, which was quite convenient. Standard (Swedish-style) options for breakfast, all of good quality.

United KingdomNothing! Everything was great.
Nice hotel near the harbour but within a 10 minute walk of the town centre. Very warm welcome and the Team worked hard to make sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. Tea and coffee available all day. Bountiful biscuits! Even an evening sandwich provided if you got peckish! Comfortable room with nice hot shower. Parking right outside which was free all weekend. We really enjoyed our stay! Hospitality 10/10! Thank you.
