The restaurant on site wasn’t bad, but it was crazy expensive compared to other spots in the area. Wish there was an option not having to drive elsewhere to eat dinner, but on the other hand it’s most places in Mahe.

Honestly right before arrival I almost canceled because of bad reviews online… glad I didn’t because the place was fantastic. It’s definitely on the best beach in Mahe as it’s not just pretty, but also protected from the wind. They let us check in at midnight which other properties declined (which was odd because our flight was scheduled at night) and the room was giant, spotless clean… the view from the room was overlooking the beach and ocean. Kids loved the pool and turtles at the property. Wifi worked well. Zero issues :)

The property is kind of far from the main road and if you don’t have a car, at night is impossible to go to a supermarket or a restaurant as it’s pitch black, even during the day is quite far for walking. So if you are staying you need to plan ahead to get some water or food, as the restaurant is closing around 7 pm if i am not wrong and 5/6pm on Sunday. Also there is no one at the reception at night to assist you if you want to call a taxi, so as i said you need to plan everything ahead.

The beach is stunning with a breathtaking view , small but nice infinity pool with a beautiful view, the staff is kind and helpful, the food at the restaurant is good, the room that we have was okay for the value and most importantly clean, they have some nice rooms with a sea view but it was fully booked at the time when we were staying.

There is nothing nearby, no bars, no restaurant, no shops, closest shop is like 5 km away. There is only one restaurant in the hotel, which is highly overpriced. Breakfast is okay, but everyday the same, not much variety. I would suggest to extend the food options with the possibility to book half board for example.

It is very hard to move around without a car - around 20 minutes to the nearest shop on foot. The idea of having some turtles around the hotel in a closed space is quite cute but it should be renovated - please make the ground even and less rocky.

We liked the swimming pool and jacuzzis, feeling of having a private beach, tasty breakfasts, and kind staff. The parking is also free.

Some of the staff were a bit unfriendly. The bathroom has definitely seen better days. We had roommates (lizards) in the bedroom.

The Takamaka Beach is amazingly beautiful! One of the nicest beaches on the island. Since the accommodation is located on the beach, it is very well located from this point of view. Parking is almost impossible at other beaches, but not a problem here. Extra points for the turtles :)

The sheets did not look clean, we could feel the sand under the sheets. Maybe next time I'd try the beach view units, perhaps they take care of those better.

6 nights = everyday the beach was different due to the tide, so for us it was perfect beacuse we prefere this type of holiday. Sure it is not a Kempinsky hotel but if you would like to feel the real local culture I recommend. And you need a car to be more flexible. Kind people at reception, free parking place. Calm and wild Takamaka beach, our kids enjoyed. We also visited other close beaches like Intendanse, Police, Parnel and Port Launay where we rented a transfer (West coast water sports) to wild Therese island (10min). Good experience with sunday creole buffet at Chez batista to feel the taste of local cusine. We also recommend the restaurant Takamakasky. Wifi worked only at restaurant and public area but we had our own mobile net. Breakfast: everyday the same but you can combine something. We would return. Regarding beaches: in general you have to check the tide, some beaches in low tide are not so beautiful as you expect based on photos, but at Takamaka beach we found our best place. We recommend also La Digue island for some days (beautiful).

Absolutely wonderful place at the south part of Mahe, really magnificent atmosphere-our room in colonial style, the view from the terrace on the rocks and cosy garden on the left and the ocean on the right, the friendly personnel, the swimming pool on the rock where you can admire the perspective horizont of the ocean, breathtaking sunsets! And my best love was the turtles - they are cute and communicative, touchable and admirable. I would definitely come here once again! My best recommendation for staying at Mahe!

The door lock needs to be changed big time. Some staff need to be more professional as we feel they lack few information around. The breakfast menu is the same all day. Hotel can include free breakfast while quoting the room rent. Overall it was a good experience.

Excellent location as the beautiful Takamaka beach can be viewed from our room and kids enjoyed the beautiful beach and landscape. Staff were good in arranging surprise birthday cake as told on wife's birthday. Friendly staff too.

During check-in, we were told that breakfast was included, but in the morning, we were asked to pay for it. There was no Internet connection in the room, and the one in the public area was really poor. The room looks nice from the pictures but in reality it seems that finishing touches are not there: half of the walls are painted, and the rest are not; there are plenty of marked areas were they planned to make sockets, but these marks after instalation were never erased; you enter the shower and once you want to leave you realse that there is no door handle from inside, so you need someone to let you out from the shower....

Nothing, everything was perfect, just some advices: The structure is sorrounded by nature, so it can be normal to find some insect around. Breakfast was good but can maybe be improved in choice (tastes were really good, at least for us). It is a bit isolated, not a problem for us. Restaurant prices are a bit high, but in line with similar places.

The staff was really kind and helpful, the location simply perfect, very difficult to find this quality/price for a structure directly on one of the best beaches in Mahe. The breakfast was good enough, and room clean and neat. Due to a problem with our flight we arrived to the structure with one day of delay, and we really appreciated that they did not make us pay for the one night we missed.
