Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe owners and the stuff who run Petit Baie Chalets are very friendly and helpful. They gave us good recommendations to which beach to go and when. Lovely place to go to eat and try to answer to all our questions. They have magnificent garden, some lovely turtles which the kids love to visit every morning, and more.

SwitzerlandThe hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The villa was very spacious and had everything we needed for the holidays. We felt the lack of air conditioning in the living room at the ground level but we understand that the area is too big and quite open to the exterior. Luckily, the A/C in the bedrooms was ok. Location wise we found the villa well situated, just across the street from a nice beach and a small supermarket just in front. Overall, it was well worth the price, especially because of the friendliness of the hosts <3 We enjoyed living with all the animals outside (tortoises, rabbit, dog, crabs...) and inside (mainly lizards) but, if you're squeamish about this then this is not probably the place for you.

SwedenIf you're looking for accommodation on Mahé in the Seychelles where you feel well taken care of from the moment you arrive, then Petit Bahie Chalets is the right choice. The hosts are wonderful, and it's a great location for exploring the island by car. Plus, there's a small grocery store conveniently situated just 50 meters away. The accommodation is also only a 5-minute drive from the lovely Anse Royale.

Very beautiful garden with 3 lovely tortoises, we had a nice terrace with a sea-garden view, the shop and beach are just nearby and there are nice local takeaways/restaurants within 5 minutes drive. EstoniaOur host Jess was very friendly and helpful at any moment. Property has a beautiful and well kept garden with mango, breadfruit, jackfruit, papaya and coconut trees. Not speaking of lot of different orchids. There are small grocery shop right outside of the property where you can buy food and beverages. Car rental is more or less optional due to location, can be arranged thru the host.

SloveniaWe spent 2 wonderful weeks on the island of Mahe, where we rented this beautiful house by the sea. The house does not have a view of the sea, although it is in the immediate vicinity, but it is surrounded by a wonderful tropical garden, it is spacious, very clean and in a peaceful environment. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend. We also recommend renting a car.

PolandVery clean and spacious bungalow. Well-equipped, the kitchen equipment is new, towels and linen - fresh and fragrant. The spacious terrace overlooking the tropical garden and turtle pen is wonderful. Although there are several other bungalows on the property, their location and the lush garden make you not feel the presence of other guests. The hosts are very warm and nice - you can ask them at any time. There is also a washing machine that you can use to do your laundry. As for the location, the property is actually right next to the beach, just cross the street (quite busy). The beach is nice, but the sea is quite shallow, it is better to go to another beach (e.g. 10 minutes by bus to Anse Royal). A well-equipped supermarket is right next door, open every day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Two fruit stalls are about 400 meters from the house, open from the morning. Bus stops are very close, buses run quite often in both directions. We recommend this kind of transport, you can get almost everywhere. The ticket card can be purchased or topped up anywhere (e.g. at a supermarket nearby), one ride costs 10 rupees Right next to it there is a craft village where you can buy handicrafts, and a 15-minute walk away - the distillery of the most famous Takamaka rum, which you can visit and take part in a rum rasting. There are several restaurants and takeaways nearby, but honestly - we won't recommend anything, because generally the food here is expensive or very expensive, and the taste is very average.

IrelandThere were only net curtains. No blinds or black out curtains in the bedroom or the bathroom. Felt like it was lacking a bit of privacy. Apart from that, everything was amazing.
Amazing place! Huge apartment with separate kitchen and bedroom. It has everything you need. There is a shop right next door. The beach is across the road. I really enjoyed my stay! The garden was beautiful. Many different plants and trees. Only a short drive to the airport but make sure to rent a car as the next village is a good bit away.

HungaryIf there was a little salt and sugar in the kitchen it would have been a big help.
The hosts were very kind and helpful. We got fresh coconut and papaya from the wonderful garden where you can find 2 giant turtles. From the kitchen window you can watch the crabs crawling out of their underground passages. The kitchen and the living room was very spacious, the room was clean and comfortable, we recommend the accommodation.

Czech RepublicGreat location strategically for trips across the island. The accommodation in the big house in the garden was great. Every three days cleaning and change of bed linen including towels. It is not a luxury accommodation, but a pleasant family environment, and that, in my opinion, is above all else. The owners are very friendly and helpful people. So are their employees. They have their own car rental company, I recommend renting a car directly from them, there is really no point without a car. If you don't dare to drive, they have a nice friend who took us, a group of 5 people, for a good price, he will also take us from the airport if there are more of you. I definitely recommend the stay, if I return to Seychelles I will use the services of the téro family again. Thanks to them, the holiday was great❤️
