Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The practicality of the place wasn't the best. No kitchen, no table/chair and the fridge was small. But traditional practicality isn't really what this place is designed for. The one thing I really didn't like was that the fridge has a big light up logo that is way too bright at night.
The host was extremely friendly! I really appreciate their hospitality! The place was fun and had some unique features. The location isn't bad, I believe less than a 30 minute walk to the city center, and had plenty of food options in the surrounding area. Overall a neat place to stay!

Excellent location close to the Old Town, Dunavski Park and close to the Petrovaradin Fortress dates to the 17th and 18th centuries, with an iconic clock tower. And first of all, very friendly and helpful hosts.

The owner of the place is fantastic! He was super friendly and helpful. Although we were very late to check in, he kept in touch and let us in. The room is very spacious and clean and has everything you may need. There is a big balcony and a separate seating area. The location is quite good — within walking distance of the city centre. There are plenty of food options around. There is a private parking space that is well-lit and secure. In short, we are pleased with our stay at Villa Lord, and we would recommend this place to others.

Nothing negative
Price was good, room was excellent and the owners were fabulous. Was right beside an expensive hotel I can’t imagine was any better than where we stayed! Very satisfied and we would highly recommend staying here.

Shower cabin was a bit worn and the air conditioner made noise during the night, but it was all tolerable.
The housekeeper was super hospitable and nice, the room was comfortable, the kitchen appliances all worked and the location is not bad. I reccommend it!

It was very hot for september, over 30C, so the room is on the sunny side and it was very hot, but airconditioner was working excellent. Mini bar is loud as hell, so I had to turn it off during night, as it was waking me up 🙂 But is is great that minibar is in the room. Shower cabin is somehow leaking water (no matter how carfull I was), so I had to collect water with towels after every shower (there was a lot of water).
Host, close to my business venue, clean, terasse, very good bed, quiet, good airconditioner as it was very hot, room is of suficient size

That i couldnt stay longer because my holiday continues.
The first good impression how the manager welcomed me,even i was very late then scheduled. Nice area. Very clean rooms.

everything is kinda old and in need of repairs. Leaky shower, wanky electric sockets, no plug in the bathroom, squeaky beds.
very clean, nice location, and the service is kinda hotel-like with the nicely folded towels, complimentary toiletries and candy, very nice hosts

Extremely kind hosts, they will go any length to satisfy you, you are treated like ... a Lord :) Good relation value for money. Villa Lord is situated right next to one of the main city arteries, still there is no noticeable noise. Good food shopping in the neighborhood and a lovely , spacious park, just at a stone's throw. Car parking , plus very good bus connections to the heart od the city.

The shower was not functioning properly and the beds were uncomfortable.
