Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaSome of the bathroom facilities need to be replaced urgently - the shower cubicle had a broken door and a curtain as a replacement, the soap and shower gel were not sufficient or of good quality, the smell in the bathroom was quite unpleasant and we had to leave the fan running continuously.
Good price, warm rooms, pleasant and helpfull staff. The room was very warm and quiet. Close to some shops and restaurants, good location. For a short stay this is very good. Spent 2 nights here, for what we needed it was more than OK. Most likely we will come back to this location if needed in the future, but only for short (1 max 2 nights) stays.

NetherlandsWhile the rooms are smoke-free, the common room is not. But that's what you are expecting when travelling Serbia, right... ;-) For me, it was fine, since it's an airy room and I am not so sensitive.
The Hotel is located right between the train station and the old town - about 10 minutes walking distance each. Supermarkets are close by. The staff is very friendly, helpful and always open for a chat. My room on the first floor was very quiet at night, and I had a good sleep with my window open. The comfort was good for the price. Not fancy and shiny, but simple and clean. I certainly liked to sit in the spacey common room downstairs with a traditional coffee for breakfast.

SerbiaThis time my room was much more comfortable, I appreciate that. Also, I like that the reception/check-in is available 24 hours and the location is close to the main bus station. That was the main reason why I chose this place, because I usually come to Novi Sad at night. Also, thanks to the kind receptionist lady who helped me open the door while I was carrying my bags.

PolandGreat location, 10 min walking distance to city center, and same 10 min to railway/bus station. Very helpful personnel. Good WiFi. Good insulation, it was surprisingly warm in the room in November. Elevator, which not many 2/3 stars hotels have. Slippers included. Great value for money.

TurkeyIf you do not have high expectations you'll love it. However, the rooms felt quite small, although I booked the largest. The rooms especially the floors felt dirty. The things provided were not enough: soaps were bad, towels were tiny, no slippers etc.
We used the hotel for our Exit festival stay and the Location was an advantage. It was in a safe place and slightly far from the city centre

United StatesMan at check-in told me they take cash only (Booking said they take cards), and he was upset that I didn't have cash ready (I had to run to the bank). The location isn't great for tourists--it's a hike to the bus station (~15 min), the tourist areas, or into the center (~15-20 min), but there are a few restaurants nearby. The elevator and aircon were shut off (I didn't ask about aircon because I thought it would be cool enough, but the room did get warm). The room was really basic and towels were cheap (small and not nice)

CanadaThe only issue was the entrance of the building. If you come later at night, you could end up on the streets because the door was locked and there was no one to open it for you!! I was lucky, the guy who stayed in one of the rooms above, heard me and opened the door for me. They need to find some solution for this problem!!

RomaniaIt smelled like a smoker had been living in the room for years. As a Romanian I understand the balkan habits, and I know that smoking is allowed in all public places south of the Danube. However, a hotel room is a private space and it smelled disgustingly
It was quiet, to say something nice about it.

United StatesThis hotel or at least the room where I stayed is in the need of some major renovation. The worst is bathroom with broken things everywhere. Bathroom door was broken and you couldn't close it at all. Shower dour was ridiculous. Toilet seat and toilet were dirty and very old. Please see the photos. I think this is common in all area of Balkans. Management (owners) are focused more on cost of maintenance than quality of service and guest's satisfaction. Kudos to very friendly workers at the reception.
Location of the hotel is OK. Relatively close to the center (maybe 10-15 minutes walk). Staff was very friendly and extra helpful. Check in and checking out was super easy and quick.
