Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe air conditioning in the apartment worked but was not the most efficient, and the wooden panels by the windows weren’t especially easy to operate. The range of breakfast options (as above) differed vastly between 8am and 9am.
Amazing in every way. Stayed in the Apartment which was beautiful, comfortable, and an excellent size. Fantastic location in the centre of Mediasch, on the main square, close to the castle, church, and within easy walking distance of the train station. Breakfast was very good (much better on the second morning when I went closer to 8am than 9am).

United StatesGreat stay! Beautiful room! Only very slight negative is that the air conditioner was a bit underpowered, but it met the need. Overall had a great stay with a helpful staff and a lovely unique room. Highly recommend!!

IsraelThe hotel is old and undergoing a Sisyphean renovation. In our room, the air conditioning couldn’t handle the heat. It was hot. Very hot.
We just can’t get enough of Mediaș. Ovidius, the host and hotel manager, welcomed us like old friends. The hotel is connected to a restaurant and a cozy summer courtyard — there was even live music that evening (good music, not a cheesy tourist show). And the kebab? Hands down the best we’ve ever had. The hotel itself is in a 200-year-old palace, full of that charming old-Romania vibe — perfect if you’re looking for something authentic. And the town... honestly, no words. Just go.

RomaniaWhile we truly enjoyed the stay, there were some functional issues that may inconvenience some. For example, not all lights were working. The stairs up to the loft may be a challenge for people with walking challenges. There is a bar downstairs which can be noisy.
Hotel Traube is located in the very center of Medias. It offers onsite parking which is very convenient. The reception staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed as a family of three (6-year old) in the Apartment. The place was spacious and clean with antique furniture. We really enjoyed the ambience. The bed is located in a loft and is comfortable. The bathroom is clean and well-equipped.

GreeceI believe that the quantity of the offered breakfast could be improved as with 7euro you have only one choice.
Old traditional building well maintained but with a lot of stairs to get to the room. The room was comfortable and clean also it is very convenient the parking in the yard. The hotel is in a central location so no need to move the car for sight seeing. In front of the hotel is a restaurant where you can have a decent breakfast and also good dishes for lunch and dinner.

IsraelIt was not possible to get the room completely dark. The hotel is not accessible.
The location was perfect for walking around Mediaș Old Town. My room was very big and comfortable. Soundproofing was very good considering that downstairs there is a restaurant that plays music every night until about 09:00 pm. The staff were friendly and helpful.

United StatesThe only drawback to this hotel is that it can only be reached by going up many stairs. (No elevator because it's a historic building.)
Pleasant room in excellent location in the heart of the charming Old Town, with private parking. Nice made to order breakfast.

RomaniaIf I had to mention downsides it would be that the room walls are thin so I could hear the occupants in the neighboring room (I was on the very top floor, courtyard side).
I would recommend Hotel Traube for anyone wanting a short stay in the centre of Mediaş. A significant benefit of this hotel is the courtyard parking - it was free and easy to access. My room was a good size and the bathroom clean and functional, and I especially liked the comfy double bed. I will be back next year for the Mediaş Weinfest.

United StatesOur room was large, the weather was torrid and the AC had trouble keeping up with the heat. Would have opened the windows at night, when it was cooler, but there was no screen on the window and we didn't want mosquitos in.

RomaniaThey don't have an elevator and that's an inconvenience when you have a lot of luggage to carry. Overall, the stay was fine, but on Saturday night there was a party at the hotel restaurant and the noise level was extremely high. Other tourists could be heard shouting at the party people to reduce the volume of the music and noise, but without success. There was no employee at the reception to manage the situation or take any possible complaint. The young people were left to party as they pleased until dawn...
