Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaIts impossible to dislike anything.
If you wanta real quiet experience I could not recommend it more. There is nothing not to like there. Old romanian interior with modern bathrooms. Really comfy beds. The staff that showed us around was very frielndly and helpfull. We had bikes at our disposal if we wanted to bike around but with opted to relax in the ciubar ( big outdoor jacuzzi). The kitchen is well equipped so is the dinning room. Extremly clean and tastefull. I really recommend this. Its best for big fammily reunions or if you are lucky like us you get the whole place for you. If you plan to visit Sighisoara( ~20 km) and the neighboring villages this would be the best HQ for you. Once you book this you will return.

RomaniaSuper interesting property, we had the chance to sleep in a museum like house for a night. The place is filled with antiques inside and out. The house is restored with consideration for its past, the rooms are very comfortable and furnished with beautiful antiques that belong in a museum. It is a very nice place to relax and rest. There are shaded outdoor places for eating and cilling but you can also sunbathe and jump in the “ciubar” (traditional jacuzzi). We really enjoyed our stay. The host was very nice and prepared a tasty breakfast for us. We also got to hear some interesting stories about the house and its restoration process. Thank you!

RomaniaThe beds are rather small - 1,70 m in length with a headboard at both ends. If you are tall you have slim chances of fitting in the bed. Even double beds are actually 2 beds united so you will have a board between you. The mattress is comfortable. Walls are thin so it's best you do not shout or talk loudly.
The communication with the staff was very easy and they were prompt to satisfy the demands. You will need to pay cash at the location for the accommodation. We stayed in 2 rooms, 3 people. The location is very quiet, but the rural area seems abandoned. The house is furnished with a lot of old materials (recovered, refurbished or vintage) and the rooms are sparsely furnished. Just like old times. The owner is a renowned collector in Romania and has brought together a lot of Saxon's dowry. The bathrooms are renovated and you have hot water. You can dine outside or inside the living room. Breakfast is served at whatever hour you need and it's usually Romanian traditional breakfast (eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, couple of salami). The car will need to be parked outside. There is a little shop 5 minutes away from the establishment. The recommendation is to visit the 2 museums furnished by the owner - Casa Armelor si a Hartilor and Casa Breslelor, both in Sighisoara - more information can be found on Sura Seleus website. There are no dogs on the premises, but you will find 2 cats. Felt safe enough that we didn't lock the doors.

United KingdomAlthough I provided a check-in time which was confirmed, when we arrived there was no staff on site. I had to faff with the my data roaming to find the phone number and call, so not the best beginning but staff were apologetic and arrived within 10 mins. Other reviews mentioned a hot tub, this wasn't offered to us during on visit.
Very quiet, peaceful place. We stayed here in the winter and rooms were heated well and even had under floor heating in the bathroom. Breakfast was cooked fresh for us.
