It was very nice and relaxing place to stay! Very calm as at the end of a street with no noise. The rooms are very well decorated with local taste. The garden offers many different seats to relax . A very kind welcome from the owner.

Beautiful, quiet location close to the river. Traditional furnishings and tableware make the place feel homey. The host very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast and dinner are exactly what one would expect to eat and drink in Marmures: fresh, home made and full of taste.

There was nothing to dislike!

Casa Traditiilor is a dream for lovers of folk art, textiles and cultural heritage—it is decorated with extraordinary examples of Romanian art and craft, all collected with a very keen eye. Ieud is itself a wonderful little village and this is the perfect place to call home while you visit. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and the decor was gorgeous. We arranged to have dinner and it was absolutely delicious—some of the best sarmale we had in Romania—and breakfast was big, hearty and tasty. I wish we could have stayed longer in this charming place.

The Casa Traditiilor guesthouse is located in the center of historical Maramureș and allows quick access to the tourist attractions of the area. The spacious and comfortable garden and terraces are particularly pleasant and ensure peace and privacy. The room is very spacious, furnished in traditional Maramure style, with a modern bathroom. The host is particularly kind and knowledgeable about the tourist attractions in the area. I recommend visiting the Wooden Church on the Hill, in Ieud, at approx. 1.4 km.

There was a problem with our room and we were sent to a relative's pension 3km away. Though it was really comfortable, quiet and spacious, having to drive or to walk back and forth for the meals was a bit inconvenient.

The deco, spaciousness, the outdoor sitting area, the breakfast and the staff. What really stood out was the most delicious dessert: papanasi.

What an amazing property. We had a room with a balcony and it was nice to just sit and watch life go by in this lovely place. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and everything was very relaxed. It was like being at home. If you needed any drinks you just helped yourself and told the owner at the end of the stay what you had taken. We had dinner both nights and the owner accommodated me very well being a vegetarian. Would definitely stay again.

If you are looking for a traditional taste and the comfort of the Romanian countryside, this is the place for you . The maramures people are warm and kind. The village where Casa Traditiilor is located is beautiful. The host was warm and friendly, the room was spotless, spacious, the homemade dishes were absolutely amazing and exquisite. One of our best stays. I rate this place a 10+. You will enjoy your stay. It is absolutely worth it! ❤️ I will come back and stay here.

We had to wait a day for a wifi connection.

The pensione was wonderful and the owner Claudia helpful and friendly. Food, dinner and breakfast was traditional and very good. This is a good location to explore Maramures and northern transylvania. It is a very historical area. I recommend this pensione for a visit

An air conditioning unit might come detrimental to the traditional look of the rooms but it will come with an extra comfort in some hot and humid summer days. I missed one of these units. I know the law in Romania doesn't forbid smoking on patios but at dinner time the guests should be advise not to blow their poisonous, nasty smoke in neighbor table's guest face. That happened to me and it ruined an enjoyable dinner with my family. Of course the host cannot teach good manner to some compadres but rules could be imposed on private properties.

There was an abundance of traditional food choices. A taste of Romania, a taste of Maramures was on that table. Claudia, the host, is a very nice person, hard working and dedicated to the best comfort and unforgettable experiences of her guests. I felt like I knew her for a very long time even though I was there for 2 nights only. Hopefully will meet again soon!
