The air conditioning didn’t seem to work properly. Friends who were also staying at the hotel did have a nicely cooled room. In addition, there was a big difference in room sizes for the same price, which feels unfair. The room size and bathroom facilities varied a lot, and in our room there was a wardrobe with an automatic light. Unfortunately, it was placed too close to the bed, and because it had only one door, when turning over at night we sometimes ended up with the light suddenly switching on.

Nice that the hotel preserves its traditional, ‘old-style’ character. Also great that we were asked whether we preferred a room on the street side or on the quiet side. The breakfast was good, plentiful, and offered plenty of choice.

The breakfast time is from 7.00 to 10.00 , quite early in my opinion. Also during weekends, is not change : till 11 for example . People come to rest and wake up late. However, the most irritating issue is that the restaurant shut down the coffee machines at 10:00 sharp( without any announcement) . Even people being inside the restaurant , can not have a coffee after 10.00 .

The Hotel is in a very good location , central Restaurants aand cafe in a 50 m radius . Inside the Hotel is splendidly decorated (the lobby,the stairs and the rooms ) . The breakfast is good , improved compared to our visit 5 years ago. The staff is very polite and willing to help : special thanks to Mr. Hussein (front desk manager ). This is our second stay an Lido and for sure we will return .

This isn’t an actual dislike but more of a minor inconvenience - they don’t have their own parking. We were able to park within 2-3 minutes walk and it was quite cheap (to my surprise! :)) so definitely not a deal breaker.

Loved their decor, food and their staff is top notch. The hotel was clean and had good WiFi. It was also in a great location as you have so many landmarks and good restaurants within a short walk. We had an issue and couldn’t arrive on time so their staff was super responsive when we were adjusting dates. They also upgraded us to a better room simply because they could. Receptionists were very polite and helpful. Their decor is quite unique and has a 20s vibe, feels very cosy. Well worth visiting, quite a unique experience, we will definitely be back! :)

Craved a late night snack, but the mini bar was empty.

The apartment was spacious, very well decorated, and squeaky clean. The bed was a king-size one and very comfortable. I had to work a bit and use the wifi on several devices, I had no connectivity issues. The location is just perfect. Only a 5-minute walk from the underground parking lot below Piața Universității. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Short walk from the Old town. Overall, we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay a lot. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful interior, great location, very friendly staff, comfortable beds, toiletries and complimentary bottled water in the room. The hotel is in a very nice, green area with lots of cafes and bars nearby, and the hotel bar is also a pleasant place to end your day. The hotel is at a 20-minute walk from the Old Town and was also easy to reach from the aiport. The breakfast had both sweet and savory options and good coffee.

Nothing a perfect stay

Beautiful historic hotel in a great location. I got upgraded to a suite on check in amazing room.The hotel bar restaurant was open to 11pm and arrived in late had a meal and a great selection of beers.The lift is delightful old style. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.Would recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Bucharest.

Great hotel, great service beyond expectations. We had a free room upgrade for our family of three where our 6 year old could comfortably sleep. We all really loved our suite room. Nothing. The only thing that would make this property better would be restoration of the outdoor pool area which is no longer in use.

The hotel decor is stunning and so stylish. You feel as though you’re in a museum or gallery. Upon check in I was upgraded to room 511 which is a suite. The view was fabulous and the room was huge. Staff are friendly and helpful and allowed a late check out. The restaurant and bar are open late and the included breakfast was amazing!

I stayed at this hotel for just one night, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all of my requests, making me feel truly welcome.
