Amazing experience for any type of stay, family/friends/couple The host cares a lor about the confort of the guests and the accomodation has a beautiful combination of historical and modern elements inside the house. It has a huge garden with swings and chairs where you can see the sunset and enjoy the nature.

We honestly had such a lovely stay. The host was kind and thoughtful, the room was clean and comfortable, and everything just felt really cared for. It made the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. Would definitely come back.

This is a very nice location, very quiet and peaceful. It has a big yard where you can relax. The rooms combine the old and the new and are very comfy. You can take breakfast and dinner at one of the neighbors, Mrs. Livia, the food is traditional and delicious.

Beautifully restored old Saxon house with a generous inner courtyard, modern and comfortable rooms, well equipped common lounge and kitchen, very kind and helpful hosts - overall, we had a lovely time (PS: the dinner we had at Mrs Livia’s place was excellent)

Traditional house in a traditional village - but with all commodities and very cozy. You are surrounded by alot of nature and local history, food was bio, location kids friendly. The hosts were so nice and welcoming people. By far one of the best Romanian place we staid and for sure we will come back 🙂

Wifi and phone signal are really poor which makes it almost impossible if you need to do some work

Better mobile network coverage in the whole area would be a nice feature. But we understand there's nothing our hosts could do about that. We did have high-speed WI-FI and used that to make calls over Whatsapp.

We had an AMAZING stay at Meburger 279. We loved all the features this place had to offer. The rooms were cozy and clean with really cool decor art. Our hosts, Maria and Silviu were really friendly, we had a great talk with them over the fire in the garden in the evening with lots of laughs. We finished the night with a relaxing bath in our room. We also got to see the cow heard in the morning that was leaving for the pastures...that brought up so many memories from our childhood. The old oak and the oak pasture is a definite must see. We'll definitely come back for a longer stay next year.

I had a great experience and it was unfortunate I could only stay one night. I was offered a fantastic meal next door in the evening with local grappa. The host has plenty of information about history, the area and also cycling and running tracks. Room was nice and tidy and it was complete silent during the night. really recommend this place to anyone!

The welcome was great, Silvio and Maria are exceptional guests giving the feeling from first contact that it is about human interaction and well being. This feeling stayed the whole time and you really feel home very fast and interaction with other guests become a natural and nice part of the program. Really great place, the rooms are 5 stars rooms with all you need.

There is a saying in romanian: 'the people make the place'. And we felt like home at our one night stay at Mercheasa's Casa Merburger: a restored 5 room house with an interesting history that dates back almost 200 years ago, very tidy and good wi-fi(in some areas from this village and the surroundings if you have Vodafone it does not work all the time, but it's a good experience to be off the grid a while :) ) with awesome friendly owners. The delicious slow food is at it's best here with ingredients that satisfy your taste buds, do not hesitate to ask in advance to book a meal, so that you can enjoy it at your leasure. There are many places worth visiting in the nearby surroundings (the oldest oak from Transylvania from a picturesque forest, then near Racos village there is an inactive volcano, with other 2 natural attractions), besides having the possibility to rent electric bicycles from the property. There is also the possibility to trek in the Virghis gorges through a wonderful forest. And also: the villages with the fortified churches that are world renowned is a must if you are in the area! For avid runners: in October when the autumn is as it's best to see, you can participate at Gorun Trail form Mercheasa (10 or 30 kms length).

Silviu, the owner, also an enthusiastic biker, was extremely helpful. as mercheasa is a small village with no touristic facilities, he spontaneously cooked excellent dinner and breakfast for us. he also gave us a number of tips on bike routes in siebenbürgen. in the morning when one of us had a flat tire, he even proved to be a professional bike mechanic. the property itself has been newly renovated, well respecting the heritage of the historical building.

great place and amazing surroundings! i totally recommend Meburger 279 - cozy atmosphere, clean, quiet place, great access to all the facilities and also very nice places around. The house has a very nice story which makes it a magic place and the hosts are very helpful and warm. There are a lot of nice things to do around, walks in the nature and hiking, even e-bike tours (the hosts will provide all the information you need). For a full experience we also had dinner and breakfast at the location - great choice, local and traditional food. Totally recommend this place, absolutely no complaints!

WiFi is not great and only usable from the common area. From what we understood they are already working on this. Breakfast could be improved. It lacked variety and it was a bit too greasy for our taste. Also, the coffee machine was a bit dirty.

Great owners, highly available, and resourceful. They offered a lot of useful information and even prepared a campfire for us. Room design and in general the concept around the accommodation. The location is good since it is close to Viscri, Racos and Mesendorf (20 minutes drive). The room was clean and comfortable. The room/bathroom amenities were great.
