Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandNo option to pay by credit card for rooms and additional services (meals, Danube Delta trip, etc.), and breakfasts are overpriced for what they offer.
A large, well-kept garden with outdoor furniture and a water curtain, providing comfort and relaxation. Clean, comfortable, air-conditioned rooms with mosquito nets. Rooms feature comfortable beds, a TV with many channels, and fast Wi-Fi. A shared kitchen and refrigerator are available on site. Another advantage is the option to order breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfasts are simple and unfortunately relatively expensive (omelet, cheese, scrambled eggs, bread, cheese, tomato – about 40 LEI + 10 LEI for coffee), but dinners are definitely worth recommending (daily fresh fish with polenta for around 50 LEI and an excellent garlic dip for about 8 LEI). Desserts are worth trying too, especially the very good papanasi (20 LEI). Prices as of 12.08.2025. I strongly recommend taking the boat trip through the Danube Delta organized by the owner (it lasts about 4 hours, for a group of around 10 people it costs about 250 LEI per person, but it’s really worth the price; the owner provides basic but interesting information in Romanian and – for mixed groups – also in English). Helpful and friendly hosts.

PortugalCasa Badea is located in a beautiful and tranquil village. It's very cosy, clean, and comfortable. The hosts are wonderful, offering home made food and drink, as well as organising boat trips on the river. Ion has a lot of experience and knowledge, he knows the Danube Delta inside out and will show you the most beautiful places. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

PolandEverything was great.
Very nice and helpful hosts, excellent food - breakfast and home made dinner available on request, mostly fish dishes, delicious catch of the day from the waters of Danube Delta. The host is a certified guide for boat trips around the Delta so there is a chance of organising a trip with him. He speaks English. Very nicely arranged garden and patio area where you can relax. Great location for the start of boat trips. The room was clean and comfortable. Shared kitchen area with fridges. We had a lovely stay and couldnt wish for more, I trully recommend 👍.

GermanyIf I could give more than 10 points for hospitality, Angie and Ion would be the ones to receive them. If you want to go on a boat trip, Ion who knows the Danube delta like the palm of his hand will take you to the most amazing places. And in the evening, Angie will treat you to a delicious Danube fish dish in the lovely garden, if you ask her yo cook for you. Our room was small, but comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. A fridge, a stove etc. can be used in a shared kitchen area. Thank you so much, Angie and Ion, for a fabulous stay!

PolandThe only minor problem was the fact that we had booked two separate rooms with private bathrooms but eventually were accommodated in a sort of separate "apartment", meaning two bedrooms sharing a bathroom.
A perfect place to stay in the Delta and arrange your boat trips - everything can be organized by the owners who are generally very friendly and helpful. Good restaurant in place, serving breakfasts, lunches and dinners according to your preferences. Nice garden and common area/rooms, well-equipped kitchen.

RomaniaA lot of mosquitoes (which was to be expected given the region) and no countermeasures other than window nets. It's pretty easy for the mosquitoes to enter the room when going in and out. Would've have expected a UV lamp inside the room.
The garden and the staff. The opportunity to take boat rides with the owner of the place. While on the boat ride the owner is a great guide and offers a lot of knowledge and insight about the Danube Delta. Cooked meals and cold and hot drinks are available mostly anytime. Pretty fair price. Parking spots outside the place but they also have their own place inside to park your car.
