My room had no windows, just kind of a glass-brick square which could not be opened. The room was huge but gloomy, with poor lighting and heavy decorations. Of course I was aware of the style from the pictures, but it's heavier in real life. Very small parking lot. Not a smile from the staff at the front desk (no rudeness either, though). Nicer people at the breakfast room.

If the hotel is full, parking in the yard is problematic. However there is street parking available. Also, for someone with mobility issues, access to the first floor rooms would be difficult. Just a word of warning

Breakfast is excellent. Staff are very polite and willing to help. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and stylish. The location is on a quiet street but 2 minutes away from the centre. Excellent stay (our third or fourth, I think). It is our go to in Craiova.

Unfortunately, our room - although nice and cozy - was on the first floor and we had to climb up and down more than 25 very high stairs. At the age of 70 it isn't a very pleasant activity when you want to go to the restaurant, which is at the basement (so there is a double number of stairs!) or to stroll around. You have to breath deeply and to stop many times on your way... We tried to explain the heath problems of our age (spine and knee troubles) to change the room, but we were offered rooms on the same floor or many explanations regarding the different rooms on the ground floor, whose price was much higher (almost double) and we should have paid a too large amount of money on the spot. We didn't enjoy the idea, so we grit our teeth and exercised daily realising what the years of caducity mean! Another unpleasant thing was the parking lot. It is extremely small - just the yard of the hotel, which is fit for only 9 very crowded cars, so once you get the place you can't get out of it unless the receptionist contacts all the other drivers in the hotel and asks them to come out and move their cars!

Everything met our expectations if we take into account the location, the staff, the cleanliness and the food for breakfast. The hotel is actually an old mansion, excellently preserved, with incredible stucco, wood inlay and coloured glass ornaments that give it a unique, classy architecture and style. Refurbished and very well soundproofed, the building looks amazing (especially inside) while the friendly stuff (receptionists and cleaner ladies) make you feel spoiled! Secondly, we should mention the exquisite cuisine and food products offered for breakfast. They were both a surprise for the eyes and for the tongue! Delicate miniatures, thin slices of cheddar cheese, ham, meat, salami, tasty buns and fresh loaves of bread, sausages, mixed veggies, fruits, quality tea/juice, yoghurt, milk and cereals, appetizing cakes and sweets, and an excellent cup of coffee at the end were all a great delight to start your day with.

5 Continents is a lovely hotel in the very center of Craiova, I absolutely loved the friendly team (reception, bar, restaurant, etc). In fact, I would give 10 stars to the team of the hotel if I could! Perfect location, super clean rooms, very good breakfast.

Breakfast could've been better, more sofisticated for the price and for the overall vibe of the hotel. It's basic omelette, fried egss, ham and cheese and some sweets from the store (not homemade or anything special or high quality)

A beautiful hotel in an old palace, very well renovated. We stayed in the new side of the hotel in an executive suite which was very luxurious, clean and comfy. Literally 5 minutes away from the city centre.

The room was big enough, very clean and had a nice style. The sound isolation was also great and there was water and fruits in the room as well. This hotel is a good recommendation if you want to visit the Christmas market or just want to stay in a quiet place near the city centre and reach everything on foot.

Great hotel! The location is very good, a couple of minutes walking from the city center. It looks very chic, with vintage decorations. The room is big, with high ceiling and soft carpet. It has a very big and comfortable bed. The breakfast is delicious (including vegan options). The staff very friendly.
