  • Haruhoo Resort ISHIGAKI Review score: 10

“One of the most beautiful hotel I have ever been, with incredible views to the sea and in a quite and peaceful area- I strongly recommend it if you want to relax and the bus stop was 10 minutes walk with nearby beaches and a dew local restaurants too”

  • “The garden and the pool/beach areas are very beautiful, but quite crowded with many families with small children. Breakfast is good with plenty of options, though after 8:00 am you need to stand in line for a table. For dinner, Ishigaki Bold Kitchen and Ryukyu Shintenchi both offer very good food.”

  • “the breakfast is delicious, staff is very helpful”

  • Art Hotel Ishigakijima Review score: 6

“The staff was very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed the massages at the relaxation spa, and we made good use of the on-site pool. The hotel lounge clothes were a nice addition. The room, overall, was pretty clean. The buffet dinner was okay, but definitely not a good value; because the breakfast is included in the rate, it was very busy, and we skipped it after the first day because it wasn't great. The on-site yakiniku was fine, but not a great value either.”

  • “View, location, walk in pool and kids pool, had pool floats for guest use, restaurant on the property”

  • “Minimalist guesthouse, but a great value for money. The staff member was super cool, always keen on suggesting free activities at night. Memorable.”

  • “The facilities of the hotel are very good.Jordy and his staff are also helpful and friendly. The outdoor activities provided are really impressive!”

  • Hotel Patina Ishigakijima Review score: 6

“The location, the complimentary alcoholic drinks, free chilled sparkling water, coffee, tea etc.”

  • “Everything I love from a guest house. Cheap, great feeling of privacy in the capsule-like rooms, perfect location and lovely staff.”

  • Seven Colors Ishigakijima Review score: 10

“Staying as the stop 3 out of 7 on our honeymoon tour of Japan, this was probably the highlight stay of it all. The hotel itself is small with only a handful of rooms but it isl cosy and all you need for a quiet stay away from almost anyone. Even for Japanese standards, the staff extraordinarily nice and helpful in every possible way, so compared to anywhere in Europe / America etc, you will not beat them. Everything here goes with the idillic tropical island stay, with a collection of private white sandy beaches, hermit crabs to watch for days, no other buildings in sight and the only other sound being the very occasional car slowly passing on it's way to the light house further up the road. We cannot wait to return.”
