“This was a really lovely self-catering experience. For my money I got: a double bedroom, a sitting room, a kitchen and a bathroom to myself in a cottage down a peaceful lane on the edge of town. It's surrounded by a spacious garden, with trees and it is very peaceful, fresh (and dark!) at night. No street lights. No-one to disturb you. I don't think I've ever been in a place so quiet.
I went to the shops (quite a way away, you'll need a car or a bike), prepared food, washed my clothes, read, slept. It was everything I needed after a long day cycling.”
