    “Clean, comfortable rooms. Only a few beds (3-4) in each room, so you're not having to stay with too many people. Staff were friendly and helpful, even though they're only down in the reception area for limited hours a day. Women-only dorm had one bunk bed and one single bed with a curtain dividing the two. I slept in the lower bunk, no complaints. Have to pass through the mixed dorm room to reach the women-only room, but there was a locked door between the two rooms that I assume only the guests for the women-only dorm have the key to. Not sure if mixed dorm room has a lock or key. A bit of a walk from the station, but convenient location in a central part of town with coffee shops and restaurants nearby, easy access to the tourist loop bus stop.”

    “A charming hotel with a strong musical theme. Staff were very professional, and they also serve free late night refreshments in the common area. We had issues with our train to Sendai and the staff at Grandbach Hotel were very flexible and generous in helping us when we had issues during our travel. Concierge service was excellent.”
