    “The location of the hotel is great. At one end of the Riva with the hustle and bustle that brings. It was good for watching the boast come and go, and people watching the unending stream of visitors moving up and down the quay. The breakfasts were amazing with an incredible range of options. I liked the fact that bubbles and bucks fizz appeared to be the norm! The staff we very welcoming and friendly and provided excellent service. Check in (in the rain) was wonderfully handled with the offer or a towel with a glass of prosecco. Hvar is a wonderfully historic town and has many wonderful sites to visit.”

    “Booked Marvie as a stop off between Hvar and Split airport for a night after reading the good reviews so was expecting something really good and, in all honesty, left the hotel pleasantly surprised that it exceeded all expectations as one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. If I could, I’d rate it 11/10. It’s the little things that made all the difference: big and immaculate room, good air con, decent soundproofing, wonderful & friendly staff, pristine & very good spa facilities, high quality bathroom products, incredible (and I mean INCREDIBLE) breakfast. And to top it all off an absolutely stunning Croatian beach basically on the front doorstep. The location is just close enough to the old town to be convenient, but just far away enough to be away from the crowds and tourist traps (20 minute walk, 5-10 minute uber/taxi). This distance also affects the busyness of the nearby beach which is just the perfect amount of quietness to for peace and quiet but enough people to give a bit of atmosphere. We arrived about an hour early to drop off our luggage and sit on the beach for an hour but the staff said our room was ready and allowed us to check in early which is always a bonus. I can’t stress enough how good the breakfast options are, however, they’re not great for a vegan diet (my partner is vegan but I ate like a king lol), but there are multiple supermarkets within a 5 minute radius and we had no problem bringing a few bits in so we could eat together. If you’re a regular traveller you often find even the best hotels have just one thing that isn’t quite right but Marvie have got every single basic thing covered which just makes it perfect.”
