“Donatella (the host) nothing was too much trouble. Greeted with a warm welcome.
It was a perfect location for our hiking 🥾 the facilities are :- a double bedroom, lounge, toilet and shower room (towels provided) whole of the downstairs. In the lounge there was a kettle, fridge, microwave, coffee machine and utensils 🥄 it was perfect for us as we could eat in or out. You have your own key 🔑 come and go as you please 10/10”
“Aussie here, I arrived after 11pm after a long couple of travel days, outside of reception hours, the instructions to access my room were easy to follow. The spiral stairway was a challenge when tired & with a heavy suitcase but you just go slow, it’s part of the charm of this beautiful old building. Room was stocked with lots of snacks and drinks, croissants in the freezer, delicious yogurts and other Brekky supplies! Coffee machine - this was such a treat!”
“Stunning! The mill has been beautifully renovated with many quirky touches too. The floors are especially magnificent.
Pierre is a delight! He's quirky as well, with a great sense of humour. He is a super cook and it was a lovely evening, sat at his long dining table with the six other guests and Pierre.
Breakfast was excellent.
Unbelievable value for money!
We will be back next year.”
“Casa mARTa is home, away from home. Within walking distance from both Tournon and Tain L’Hermitage, the house offers panoramic views of the city in an artsy, relaxed setting.
Fabrice is a genuinely warm and welcoming host who strives to make your stay a time to be remembered fondly. We stopped by with our two dogs on our way back home and from the moment we arrived, felt nothing but comfortable around our host and the other guests, as we enjoyed a really nice conversation around drinks.
The room was spacious, clean and decorated with taste.
Breakfast was fresh and sourced locally, which again gives you that peculiar homely feeling.
If you’re looking for a flashy, soulless, 5-stars resort, this place certainly isn’t it. If however you want a genuine human experience with great food and wine shared with a bunch of friendly individuals from different backgrounds, then you’ll definitely find it there!”
“Very welcoming and helpful owner. Excellent room and breakfast. Good location for visiting Lyon. Took the train from Brignais to Lyon as recommended by owner. Very easy free parking and direct to old town. Located in small quiet village.”
