“I was super happy about the accommodation since it had everything for a pleasant stay. And it was super close to the beach and not so much in the crowded street. And the hospitality was also very satisfying.”
“The accommodation was in a small block of about 4-5 accommodations of various configurations. The rooms and gardens were exceptionally clean and cared for. We had the downstairs room with a small outdoor seating area and a small kitchen which had everything thoughtfully supplied. The bathroom was generous in size and the shower water was hot. Overall, the apartment was small but very comfortable. I think the upstairs rooms would have had a better view from the balcony, but we still had a lovely view of the forest and saw some nice humming birds,.The accommodation is at the end of the village, towards the beach,, right on the very edge of the national park, about 8 minutes walk from the port, so a little quieter than if we'd stayed close to the main Street. There are little restaurants and supermarkets throughout the village so nothing was far away. The accommodation also can organise all the tours and it was great value. Best of all, they had good equipment and small group sizes. The guides they use are fabulous, especially Oscar. Tortuguero village is very touristy but feels quite safe. Bring wet weather gear and waterproof shoes if you can, as it's a rain forest, so it rains a few hours each day or night.but its not a negative, it helps cool everything down.”
“The house is absolutely amazing—spotlessly clean, cozy, and welcoming. Raquel was incredibly helpful and provided us with all the information we needed, even assisting us in organizing our tours in Tortuguero. I couldn’t recommend this place more!”
“Absolutely amazing! The location is perfect close to the village and yet very quiet and private. Very close to the natural reserve and you can see all sort of amazing animal from the terrace. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and it has everything. The host was friendly ans responsive.”
“The location is close to the city center, everything is within 5 minutes walking distance.
It is at the river front, with a small but private balcony.
They provided a coffee maker and coffee powder.
There is a small kitchen if you prefer to cook for yourself, but there are also multiple restaurants/sodas nearby.”
“The accommodation is on the side of Tortuguero bordering the national park. This makes is relatively calm, and a great spot to see wildlife such as moneys from the balcony. Everything such as the boat ride was very well organized.”
“Brilliant hospitality! The owner is so helpful, and will ensure your transfer from La Pavona is seamless. Tour arrangement is also perfect, friendly and helpful. Go with it for a relaxed stay in a unique place. A convenient house, right in the middle of the village. Also, the sushi restaurant just around the corner (owned by the owner of this house) is excellent!”
“It was located across a canal, so we weren’t disturbed by the (sometimes) loud ‘night life’ of Tortuguero, Plenty of animal encounters just in the garden of the lodge. Daniel was a good guide who went the extra mile, to make sure we had a great experience.”
