    “Before booking, I read through all the reviews, and since everyone was praising the host, Kak Mas, and her incredible hospitality, I decided to give this place a try—even though it’s not the type of hotel I usually book, nor the one I stayed at during my last Langkawi trip. And to my absolute surprise, she is exactly as wonderful as everyone said she is! You can tell a lot of love and care goes into this place. Kak Mas single-handedly takes care of 5 rooms, yet still greeted me and my boyfriend warmly at the door, remembered our names, and made us feel at home right away. At this price point, I didn’t expect much, but she truly went above and beyond: from preparing delicious home-cooked breakfast every morning (she even asked us the night before what we’d like and when we’d like it brought to our room) to refilling our water late at night without us even asking. Her thoughtfulness really made our stay special. On our second night, a family checked in next to us with a 2-year-old—despite the property clearly stating no children under 6. Kak Mas immediately apologized to us, even though it wasn’t her fault. The parents then put squeaky shoes on the toddler early in the morning, waking us (and another guest) up. When Kak Mas confronted them, they actually asked, “What can I do?” 😂 Like the legend she is, she calmly told them to buy a cheap pair of new shoes at Cenang, or better yet, just remove the little squeaky piece. Problem solved! The same family even had the nerve to ask her to prepare cereal for their baby—who wasn’t even supposed to be on the property. Despite that hiccup (which wasn’t her fault at all), Kak Mas handled it with grace and humor, and we still had an amazing stay. Honestly, she is the reason this place feels so special. If you’re looking for a warm, personal, and truly caring host, this is the place to be. 1. If you enjoy nature sounds (from roosters crowing in the morning to rain falling on the zinc roof), this is the place to be. 2.”

    “The value for money exceeded our expectations. But Mama and Papa are exceptional hosts. They helped organize our island trip at a very competitive price, did our laundry, and gave us fantastic tips for our stay. At the lodge, you feel like part of the family. We met other guests—amazing people. My kids and I are already thinking about coming back next year.”

    “I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The place is very comfortable, clean, and peaceful. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the whole area around the hotel is well-maintained. It’s conveniently located near the beach, with eateries just behind the hotel and a mini market nearby. The hotel is close to Tanjung Rhu Beach, Black Sand Beach, and Pantai Teluk Yu. Although it’s a bit further from Cenang, that’s not a problem as the location is calm and relaxing.”
