    “This was a comfortable home stay type property with a balcony. The beds were comfy and linen good quality. The owner had thoughtfully left us a delicious fruit platter. In advance of our stay we received many messages giving restaurant suggestions etc. It was amazing value for money. There was a kitchen available and fridge if you wanted to make light meals.”

    “Quite close to the night market, 15 minutes walk. The guesthouse owers are both nice, and they offer teas and instant noodles, which are very helpful when you are still hungry after eating snacks at the night market.”

    “The staff were really helpful, we had no local language and they had no hesitation in helping by translating. I gave a 9 for location as it was good for the night market next door but it is away from the main shopping and restaurant area. Clean bright room overlooking the sea. The nightmarket is great, with so many different food outlets and a really nice vibe and live music.”

    “The hostel is very dusty due to long periods of unoccupied stays. It's was affected by the earthquake and has cracks in the walls. The first floor of the hostel that used to be a cafe and shop has closed permanently, leaving only messy items. However, the staff are very attentive and speak good English but they are not with you 24 hours a day, in case of emergency, you have to help yourself. The pins in Google Maps do not match the pins and many places have the same name, making it difficult to get lost. If you have a choice, please stay elsewhere.”
