  • Hedgehog Lodge Review score: 8

“I really appreciated the hospitality of the host. Bernie was attentive, respected your privacy and very helpful and generous throughout my stay. I loved the fact that the cabin was suited to a solo traveller and had most of what I needed to get through the week. Whilst it was a bit of a culture shock for me with the eco-friendly driven concept and facilities offered (due to not booking this myself and replacing my friends booking instead), it wasn’t a massive issue for me and if anything, it made me more conscious of my household consumption and necessities. The accommodation is in a quiet location overlooking beautiful trees and hills. The animals on the farm didn’t disturb me at all and was quite comforting to be amongst them, except the many humongous spiders that I lived with, whom I learnt to be roommates with in the end I believe I stayed during spider season! The bed was quite comfortable and I never felt cold. If I did, I had sufficient blankets provided in case.”
