  • Senalala Safari Lodge Review score: 10

“Senalala was the trip of a lifetime for us. The lodge itself is idyllic, with views of the waterhole even from the bed in our room, and a very homely experience (help yourself to drinks, etc any time, cosy communal spaces). The food was delicious, with dedicated vegetarian options for us as well as SA classics such as boerwors in the few days we were there. That said, the true highlight of Senalala was the fantastic team, who were friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. Our guide Dawie was fantastic and made our game drives unforgettable. His knowledge across the animals and birds was incredible. Some favourite encounters were a mating couple of leopards, some quality time watching a rhino grazing up close, and a sunset spent with a pride of lions.”

    “Amazing location”

  • Sausage Tree Safari Camp Review score: 10

“My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights and it was simply incredible! The care and attention to detail were something I hadn’t experienced in a long time. They were always making sure we had the best experience possible. We arrived late, and even so, they prepared a special lunch just for us. The bed was super comfortable, and the thoughtful touch of leaving hot water bottles made everything even more special. There are 2 game drives per day, and we were able to see the animals really up close, with guides who were so attentive and passionate about what they do. I must give a special thanks to Tamara, who was always so helpful and even assisted me in recovering my jacket that I had forgotten at the lodge. I highly recommend it with my eyes closed! An excellent place to stay — just book it and enjoy the best safari!”

  • Bushriver Lodge Review score: 9

“The view and tranquility was amazing”

  • “Superior experience, we saw the big five in the first 2 Game Drives. Hayden & Patrick( tracker and driver )were fun to be with, knowledgeable and friendly all times , went that extra mile to find the animals we wanted to look out for. Noah, Tim & Prince provided a service with a smile in the restaurant and bar, even remembered our tipple. Food was so delicious and plentiful. The whole team work incredibly well together, this was a holiday of a lifetime , phenomenal hospitality. This is a bucket list holiday for sure. Well worth paying premium rate. You get what you pay for , definitely recommend. Allow for extra cash for the tips , recommendations 600-700 rands per day for driver & tracker , then the support team. The leave as a Family is definitely true , the singing and dancing memories made in the heart forever . Take dark trainers …. It’s very dusty! Thank you.”

“The advertisement photos of this venue are missleading”

  • Shindzela Tented Camp Review score: 9

“The staff were amazing,Lorna, Carolyn, my guide Kudos. We learnt a lot about the animals, tracks, poop, etc. I loved that there was a waterhole where we could watch the animals drink. We ate our dinner with our guide and sat with the people on our drive, which is a nice experience. The camp is small, only 8 tents, so it is an intimate experience.”

  • Kapama River Lodge Review score: 9

    “Polite staff & prompt service.”

  • Muweti Bush Lodge Review score: 10

“We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights and had an absolutely wonderful time at Muweti Bush Lodge. This is truly a place where you can unwind completely, with everything perfectly taken care of. From the very first moment, we felt at home: owner Mike together with the rangers, welcomed us warmly upon arrival. The accommodation is spotless and very comfortable, with the rooms cleaned and prepared neatly every day. This attention to detail made our stay extra pleasant. The game drives were an adventure in themselves. You never know what you’re going to encounter, which makes every drive exciting and unique. Thanks to the knowledge and enthusiasm of rangers Hardus and Niel, we learned so much about the area and its wildlife. Hardus’ personal stories such as how he once had cheetahs living in his house were truly fascinating. On top of that, he turned out to be an excellent cook, making the shared meals even more special. Owners Mike and Laura, together with their team, make sure everything runs smoothly. You are completely taken care of here, so all you need to do is enjoy, relax, and experience. With only three rooms available, the lodge is very intimate, which also means that the game drives are small and personal. This creates a truly exclusive experience. All in all, Muweti is a place we would love to return to. Highly recommended for anyone looking for warm hospitality and a unique safari adventure. The best part was when the elephants, drawn by the heat, came to visit the lodge. It was an incredible experience. And of course, every day is different with the animals, you never know what you’ll see. But one thing is certain: it will be special.”
