  • Hotel Alta Garrotxa Review score: 9

“We only stayed one night as travelling through Spain however this little hotel was a gem. The staff were courteous and we found our room very comfortable. We ate supper in the restaurant downstairs and had a good breakfast the next morning. Parking was in the village side streets and the only word of warning would be to park first then walk.”

  • Hotel Rural & Spa Mas Prat Review score: 9

“The scenery surrounding the property was just spectacular! The pool was one of the nicest ones we’ve ever swam in. The ambience was very peaceful and relaxing and the couple who run the place were very welcoming and kind. It was a calming and enjoyable experience. We also had a lovely massage while there. If you are looking for a destination to unwind, re-charge your batteries and go on some good walks, this is definitely a place to visit.”

“The location and one of the employees”

  • “Spotless clean and extremely convenient, no hassle with check in or out, or storing our bikes, keeping food in the fridge, drying clothes. Great for a night or two in Olot at an unbelievable price point.”

  • Mas La Coma Review score: 10

“We stayed at Mas La Coma for three days in August. It was great! Country ambiance. Rosario is a wonderful host. We had breakfast every day, eggs, bread, fruit in abundance, delicious coffee... We enjoyed spending time sitting under the trees in the back of the house, or on the terrace. There are many hiking paths around the area. There's also a restaurant in the village that keeps the kitchen open all day for simple meals or things like croquetas, calamares a la andaluza, which is rare in Spain where most restaurants close their kitchen a couple of hours a day in between meals. So for us who have no schedules for eating, but are used to eating when we are hungry, we were happy to be able to just walk 15 minutes and get to sit down with a nice cold beer and have a little snack. There's a small public swimming pool not far from the restaurant. I don't remember the entrance price, or if it's only open in the Summer, but it was a nice option to have if we wanted to cool off on a hot day. Even if temperatures were high, we slept very well. The trees surrounding the property help cool down the air. The place is clean, with its natural rustic vibe. For us, this was a thumbs up all the way. We are definitely going to go back some day.”
