The room was certainly compact, and not having an ensuite was a concern, but in the end it was fine, and there are quite a few places to sit on sofas and chat, read, and so on (we particularly enjoyed sitting by the fire after dinner). Breakfast was fairly standard, but the evening meals were pretty special; no menu to select from, but plenty of choice with interesting salads and other side dishes, and some imaginative choices of ingredients - and no repetition even though we stayed for 2 weeks. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, a sauna, and games including table tennis and a pool table.”
