  • Little Gem Review score: 10

“Little Gem is a smart, well appointed apartment on the ground floor with a lovely garden to the rear. It's situated next to a lovely formal garden and a short walk from a small sandy beach. The fact that it has a parking space is an absolute boon so that you after days out exploring the beautiful local area, you have a guaranteed parking space on your return. It was a lovely, peaceful retreat with a view over to Portland.”

  • “Well equipped. Full of character”

  • Summerfields Lodge Review score: 6

“The accommodation is in a quiet location, offering lots of privacy. Thoughtful breakfast supplies, including bread, juice, milk, and cereal. Has a cosy feel, providing blankets and towels. Comfortable seating outside, with a new bench table. The shower was good with adequate hot water.”

  • “The views from the lounge window were beautiful, right across the beach to the sea. The location was excellent, on the sea front and minutes to shops. The waffles they make are delicious! The rooms are a great size, and the sofa is super comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bathroom had a bath and a good shower.”

  • The Cow Shed Review score: 9

“This was a great place to stay, for a large group of friends rather than family members (i.e., lots of single rooms and twin beds). We also hired Swallow Barn, which is much nicer than the photos suggest, and was great for both our morning yoga and daytime activities. Even though we had a lot of rain, it was lovely to be in the middle of a nature reserve, perfect for the dog as everyone was happy to volunteer while exploring. All the staff were lovely, very helpful, and we enjoyed brunch in the cafe after checking out to ease ourselves into departure.”

  • “Novelty of staying in a caravan. Comfortable and roomy. EV chargers by reception worked well and were not very expensive”

  • “Lyn the owner let us collect the keys in the morning, hours before the official check in time.”
