“Situated in a very idilic area of Porto Vecchio, the accommodation was a great place to rest and enjoy silence around. The room is spacious, clean and very nice decorated.
The host and his staff were extremely helpful and welcoming which made our stay a very enjoyable one.
A very tasty breakfast, which can be chosen depending on your preference, is served on the room terrace making the experience even more pleasant.
There are also 2 restaurants nearby, we had some wine in the first night in an authentic atmosphere with locals and Corsican music.”
“The house is very pretty and cozy! The owners welcomed us with a drink and we sat to chat with them on the porch together with other guests, very pleasant. They gave us good suggestions on how to spend our days in the area, places to eat etc. The room we had was nice and modern with a spacious shower. Great stay!”
“The most welcoming and friendly hosts I had on my two weeks hike in Corsica. This place felt like "Hotel California" after a long etape from Bonifatu forest. Remote, Unreal, just wonderful.”
“People should realise that the property is in a state of disrepair. It’s strongly doubtful that it’s legal to host tourists in such conditions. The plaster is falling off everywhere, there are cables sticking out. There is mess everywhere. “Bathroom facilities” are in 3 different rooms and lack privacy. The windows are not secure. Doors bang all night and disturb sleep.
I don’t mind staying in basic places but this was beyond habitable. The owner changed the name to sound as if it was a youth hostel. Well it’s not a hostel and in this state French government would never allow a hostel in this place. People in the village were not aware this place offers tourist accommodation and to deter anyone coming there is a huge red sign not to enter the property.
The only positive I can say is that it has a space to park a car when parking is not easy in the village.
I would like to know if Booking did their due diligence and checked if this accommodation is legal in France. Sadly, I have not had a response from Booking regarding this question.”
