“We had a great time, the bed was excellent, and the location was quiet.
The beach is just a few minutes' walk away, where you can see pelicans and enjoy a stunning sunset.
We ate well at the restaurant. The staff is very cheerful and friendly. Massages and a heated pool are available for those who want them. Everything was fine, including the bathroom and shower. Breakfast was very good and international. Excellent quality/price ratio. Thanks!”
“Centrally located. Ample safe parking just 100 m away Comfortable suite, well heated! We could check in earlier. The place has a wonderful roof terrace. An astronomer is available to explain the stars in the night sky and helps with the telescope. The roof terrace also offers two Jacuzzies you can book. The breakfast is good.
Very good value for money.”
“The rooms smell divine because of the essential oils they use. The bed is very comfortable and we were so happy with the heating in the room since it was freezing cold during the night. The owner was very kind, informed us of all the activities we could do in the surrounding area. Breakfast was great, with diverse local products, everything fresh. The outdoor kitchen was also fantastic, we could cook our dinner in the evening there. All in all, we had a super pleasant stay and can recommend this hotel to anyone.”
“Couldn’t ask for a better location, very central and walkable between La Serena bus station and the historic centre, Plaza de Armas and Japanese gardens. The hostel is in a pretty old colonial building with colourful decor and interior courtyards.
In hindsight I think we would have preferred a private double room with patio even more. We booked a standard private double room and it didn’t have an exterior window - our window faced into the hallway and courtyard, so it wasn’t particularly quiet or private as there were people outside the room all the time. But it wasn’t bad.
Reception staff spoke English and were all very friendly and helpful. Our shower head broke on the first day and they managed to fix it within a few hours. Very good hot water in the shower. Offered laundry service at a reasonable price (6000CLP for a large bag).
We weren’t charged 19% VAT here which had proved an issue at other accommodation in Chile.
Overall we had a great stay!”
