    “Our lovely host Martino was so friendly and helpful, good communication before and during our stay. On our arrival Martino took time to explain the various Matera attractions using Google translate and marked things on the local map for us. Due to hire car problems not of our making at Bari airport, we arrived well after the usual checkin time, but Martino kindly met us at the carpark opposite the accommodation and even rang ahead to a nearby restaurant and booked us a table for our evening meal. Our room was spacious with a large comfortable bed, a fabulous view and our own private patio. Breakfast was delicious with foccacia, cereals, yoghurt and fruits, as well as cold meats and cheese and tasty local bread and pastry. Marino was attentive with coffee and tea and happy to provide more tourist information if we needed it. I couldn't recommend it more.”

    “This property is STUNNING, inside and out. There are two bedrooms that can be booked separately, sharing the kitchen and living room. We booked both rooms so had the whole place to ourselves - two huge bedrooms with three amazing terraces, each one with a fantastic view. It is very close to the new town area which makes access easier than in some other parts of the Sassi. Once in the apartment you are completely immersed in the Sassi. Owner provides very clear instructions on how to find the property and is very helpful and accommodating. Lighting up time in the Sassi is very special. We stayed two nights but could have stayed longer - there is so much to see and experience. Book it and enjoy...”

    “From the moment we booked Domenica was so lovely, attentive and responsive to all our needs. She was very communicative regarding check in information and went above and beyond to organise for pick up and drop off for us. Thank you so much to Walter the owner for picking us up and dropping us off to our driver, this was greatly appreciated as we had been travelling for weeks now and had large suitcases with us. Everything was perfect, the service, the room, breakfast facilities and recommendations of where to go in Matera. The property is easy to get to by foot without walking up stairs etc. Thank you again Domenica. We will definitely visit again Love from Sydney, Australia!”

    “Was always in contact with the host, and was always checking we were OK, giving us local information, and help. Apartment was clean and well kept. The view was incredible and location was excellent, you just have to be a little careful of the steps on the way too the apartment. We would definitely recommend.”
