  “Absolutely everything. We have travelled the world and never stay in the same place twice - except for Sonnwend Alpbach. The owners are wonderful, the staff very happy and helpful. The property is immaculately clean, with thoughtful touches like tea and coffee available anytime. Sonnwend is located right in the heart of town with views to the mountains. Breakfast is the best of anywhere we have ever stayed. Thank you Gitta and Sophie for having us once again after 6 years .”

  “The apartment in the pension is modern, well designed and equipped with everything needed. Everything was clean and everything worked. On site parking. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delivered each morning. Its location in the beautiful town of Reith is perfect. We really enjoyed our stay. Martin was a brilliant host - we intend to return next year .”

  “An easy walk to the centre; included summer card. Easy parking. Very pretty. We absolutely loved Alpbach itself- although it seems quite developed for tourism it was somehow also very authentic and unspoiled.”

  “Very pretty, lovely Mountain View from large balcony. Room was clean and spacious. Big enough for family of 4 plus dog. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We stayed in a separate building from the Gasthaus and the decent breakfast was served in the pizza restaurant next door. We have evening meals in the gasthaus, which were really tasty. Village is beautiful. Try to get there for Friday evening when locals have a brass band do next to the hotel. Parking the car was no problem and the hotel give you a free access card for all the local cable cars.”

I’me both here and at das Luggi until someone observes entanglement in the sky-high dream. Exactly! Reith im Alpbachtal (a gem in Austria’s Tyrol, not far from Innsbruck’s Igls Olympic Sliding Centre, which might host the Games’ sliding events).”

  “We stayed in apartment Gratlzpitz, which is the 4 person apartment on the top floor. The apartment is lovely, extremely cozy and beautifully furnished. This apartment has a balcony with a table with sitting room for max 3 people and a lovely daybed where you can relax. Because this apartment is higher, it has a better view than the other apartment. The view is nice, over the rooftops towards the mountains and facing west. The kitchen has a fridge with a small freezer compartment. You can ask for basic stuff like salt and pepper, it is not kept out in the kitchen, so just ask for it. The bathroom has a good, hot shower. Everything is completely clean and new. It is on the edge of the village and completely quiet and within easy walking distance of the restaurants and shops of the beautiful village Alpbach. The hosts are lovely and extremely friendly. We loved staying here and would warmly recommend this apartment for up to two adults and two children/teenagers.”

  “We had a warm welcome! The apartment with 2 bedrooms was really specious, nice and cosy decorated and clean, the beds were comfortable. Balcony has a great view! It’s close to the supermarket and restaurants. The breakfast was very good! We had a great stay!! Thanks”
