We were expecting one single mattress instead of two for such a big double bed. One of the sides of the bed making some noise when turning around.

In general our stay was exceptional and met our expectations. The best hotel we have ever been.

The hotel location is close enough to the town, but very peaceful right on the river. Pool & garden views are gorgeous. Bedrooms are modern, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The facilities and the spa are lovely. Breakfast was wonderful, the best options and variety we have enjoyed anywhere. The whole team go above and beyond to make your stay there even more enjoyable.

The same songs on a loop for 4 days is crazy. Breakfast, pool time, bar, dinner and all over the property the same set of songs over and over again.

Beautiful location by the Douro River, with access to river side walking trails, beautiful design on every single aspect of the property, lovely gardens, outstanding spa facilities and staff, amazing food. Bonus points for the shuttle boat to Porto (Zona Robeirinha).

I booked four massages, and in my personal taste and experiences, those were not the best treatments I’ve received in terms of the technique performed, so I received two, and then I cancelled two. Though I believe this point can be very subjective.

I absolutely loved everything about my stay—from the cleanliness of the room to the attention to detail, the delicious food, the friendly and attentive staff, and the excellent facilities. I originally booked the Petit Room, but they kindly upgraded me to a better one, and it was perfect! The view was stunning, and the bed was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The spa was also fantastic, offering a truly relaxing experience. Plus, the hotel provides free parking, which was a great bonus. Highly recommend!

Beautiful riverside hotel, with great ammenities and very attentious staff. Pool area with river views is perfect to soak up the sun, if the weather is not helping you can always enjoy a nice complementary spa with pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The river taxi to the city is a great complement that gives you a unique way to get into the city.

Getting to the property is confusing and you really don’t want to leave the grounds. They offer a shuttle, via boat, to Porto, but you have to get back on your own.

The property has a lovely view, Nice grounds. Well kept. Pool is very nice. Restaurants very good, Although only one was open for our stay.

Getting back from Porto... none of the taxis knew the hotel

Reception was a bit cramped and intimidating with so many staff The complimentary room water was a little inadequate only two bottles per day Hotel is popular for weddings so can get busy with celebrations

The onsite Michelin star restaurant was amazing Big shout out to Felipe who served us with style and professionalism Staff at all restaurants were very friendly Food was excellent I recommend the Francesinha at the terrace The pool and hotel grounds were excellent and a welcome break from early June heat We walked the path from hotel to central Porto and it took about 60mins Spa was excellent Gym small but well equipped

THE WATER FROM THE SHOWER GETTING ON TO THE BATHROOM FLOOR I REALLY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT THE LIGHTS

I LOVED THE FRESHNESS OF THE FOOD AND THE RANGE. I TRULY LOVED THE JOGHURT AND FRESH FRUIT. I HAD AN EXCELLENT OMELETTE. THE ORANGE JUICE WAS AMAZING.HATS OFF TO THE CHEF FOR THE CEASR SALAD. THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND THE AC WAS SUPER EFFECTIVE HOUSE KEEPING WAS VERY RESPONSIVE

to be honest everything exceeded our expectations, but one thing I would say is do you really need to play music around pool and gardens.

Very good breakfast, staff excellent, we were lucky with weather and be able to have it on the terrace, great views of Douro and immaculate gardens. Restaurant food and service were excellent. To visit a city like Porto but be able to stay in a location such as this was a great bonus, also to be able to take the hotels water taxi into Porto was amazing.
