Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceA little bit far away from the center : you need to take a train for a total time of 30 minutes or a taxi (Uber is very cheap in Lisbon).
Very charming place with a nice garden and a very welcoming host Antionio. We had pleasure to stay in our terrac, near the swimming pool (little but very useful with heatwave). We try the breakfast which was great. The restaurant « A Galia » just near the Villa Libania is to do !

NetherlandsArea does not have that same cute vibe as some of Lisbon hoods. Still, there was a beautiful palace (worth a visit), a very nice park to jog, a supermarket and some nice restaurants nearby.
The house is nicely decorated, modern and comfortable and the garden is beautiful and very enjoyable. We especially appreciated the spacious bedroom, the quality of the amenities, the garden table, and more. Antonio was a welcoming host and very helpful. As a family with a young kid it was nice to have such nice indoor and outdoor space very close to the city.

IrelandThe place is front of the Palácio is mostly car park, which takes a bit away from the ambiente. The Cafés are more practical in its decor, rather than pretty.
Great accommodation, highly recommend. Antonia is an exceptional host, very professional, engaged, helpful and friendly! The accommodation is beautiful, very clean, tasteful; had everything we needed. The bedding was very comfortable and the shower facilities great. It's very tranquil and peaceful, great to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. We loved the garden. The pool works perfectly, it's a bit shallow but great to cool down. Our teenage kids had lots of fun playing in it for ages. Location is easiest to get to by Uber (if you don't have a rental car). Rides are so reasonable in price, and wait time no longer than 5 mins. Perfect! Supermarket and places to eat are close by; we had dinner at Retiro da Mina, which was very good. Place feels local and friendly. The café Folha de Cha was totally fine, we had some snacks during the day.

United StatesWe absolutely loved our stay at Antonio’s home in Queluz, Portugal! Antinio went above and beyond as a host and greeted us when we arrived to give us a full tour of the home and surrounding area/garden/amenities, and gave us wonderful local recommendations for lunches, dinners and more. We highly recommend dinner at Retiro da Mina and the sandwiches from Folha de Chá for lunch. We very much enjoyed walking in the nearby park and reading our books in the private garden behind our apartment. Thank you for the cozy and memorable stay - highly recommend this place to all!

IsraelBed was a bit uncomfortable for me, my wife thought the opposite so I guess it's individual. There was no direct access to the garden (we were at the first floor) which means you have to go out from the apartment and pass a gate to reach the garden. Pool was closed but I guess it's that time of the year when its too cold.
From the start Antonio were very welcoming and helpful, waited for us late at night to open the door and explain about everything. The place itself for us was located right in the middle of the destinations we aimed to visit. it's also near the national palace and some local stores. East access to Train and taxi's which are cheap. Overall it was a nice stay to begin with while visiting Portugal.

CanadaEverything was perfect.
We had an amazing stay at the Vila Libania. From the day we entered property to the last day, we felt like at home. This is first ever apartment I booked through booking that reflected photos and descriptions. Thank you amazing host Antonio for tips and advices on what to visit, how to find places, where to eat. Vila Libania gives you not just place to stay. It's garden is just stunning. It should be promoted at national geographic magazine. Thank you and hope we return to beautiful Lisbon.
