Location, charming old style hotel, real room size is about 20-21 m, not 10m as it stated in Booking.com

    Musty smell in the closet

The location is great, very central and close to everything in Gerês.

The breakfast doesn't have a lot of choice, but the things it has are good.

I tried cancelling my reservation more than three weeks in advance and the hotel was completely inflexible about it, even though it was a time when they could easily have gotten reservations that would replace mine. I go to Gerês regularly and had stayed at this place before. I will never do so again in the future, as I prefer to pay for places that don't place their greed above everything.

The hotel has a beautiful vintage decor and is well maintained. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was also attentive and polite. The buffet breakfast had a good amount of options and you could also order scrambled eggs, supposedly for an extra fee.

We could ear a bit of noise from outside and from other guests.

The facilities are quite outdated; the space could use a renovation in the rooms. Additionally, the breakfast could be improved by serving, for example, fresh fruit.

The property was central, the staff were lovely, it was clean. It would have been brilliant in its heyday, but is now rather tired looking. We loved that our room looked out over gushing water, great sound.

A little bit musty smelling, could do with a lick of paint and new flooring. But at least we could open the window to the sound of running water .

Gorgeous art deco hotel at an unbeatable price. It's probably more in the Summer months but it was only $95 for 2 rooms for my aunt and I in March. Check in was easy and the host recommended restaurants and started a big fire in the beautiful fire place for us. Breakfast was included and it was very nice. Great experience overall.

The decor is gorgeous. The river is right outside of the hotel, I fell asleep to the sound of rushing water.

A hotel from a bygone era in an excellent location. Comfertable rooms and friendly staff.

The WiFi is terrible, we needed decent WiFi access and despite the hotel being very quiet the connection was poor.

WiFi not good in the bedroom, pool is not in the building, it's a 5 min walk, but very pleasant.

Location, very central to main town, parking in garage was good,

Bed was hard, the pool was not on the property, a bit of a hike to get there but very big pool when you got there, but it needs to be loved in the upkeep of the surrounding gardens and grass land around the pool to make it more attractive, and the change area needs to be maintained more often not at all clean
