One of the bathrooms wasn’t in working order, but the upstairs one was in very good condition so it wasn’t a problem.

The decor was so charming, and a peaceful atmosphere. Comfortable bed, very clean. Had everything we needed. Lovely views, great location and a friendly host.

The washer machine wasn’t working and the towels for showering were very small.

The room was cozy and fit for the price. Jorge was helpful with communication and giving directions around Sintra. Highly recommended for a short stay!

It smelled like mould, guess the owner can't do much about that (they've tried I believe with an air purifier. It was too cold for my wife. The small heating does not warm up enough.

There is an earthly smell in the room. Some people might like that but not all. The bathroom was shared between multiple rooms. so it would be great to have more than 1 baths

The place was unique and nice. It has all the basic things you need. The host is very helpful and nice. He is available when needed.

The guesthouse is very cute and in a nice quiet area that has a few nice cafe's and restaurants. There's a very comfortable bathroom and a fridge where you can store some food. Jorge was very kind and helpful 😊

Really comfortable, old fashioned hostel in a great location in Sintra. Was also space on the road to park, and a large free public car park nearby. Jorge the owner was great and extremely helpful.

The heater was not working well, and the room was very cold. It was a bit uncomfortable to sleep during the night.

The facility is homely and a welcome oasis out of Sintra central. Very clean and the owner Jorge is welcoming and helpful if needed. It is only 25 minutes walk from the centre.

It is a quiet small home hostel (so no bunk rooms), with a few restaurants nearby, and the Pena Palace is about a 30 minute walk. Jorges was very helpful.

Sintra Small Hostel has a very warm and cozy feel. The rooms are a nice size and very clean. Plenty of towels provided. Coffee and tea are available to make at any time in the kitchen, and George provides biscuits/cookies too. He let me use the washing machine and hang my clothes to dry too. The location of the hotel is nice too because it’s not in the center of town, so it’s nice and quiet. It’s about a 25 minute walk to the city center, but only a two minute walk to a few restaurants and coffee spots.

No major or medium accidents. Although the bathrooms are shared, they are super clean. But as you cannot always control some of the guests, it would be helpful to have something like a cleaning spray for guests using after someone less caring.

Jorge is an amazing host! The rooms are very much clean and cosy, especially the beds - so confy that made it hard for us to wake up. The place keep it very portuguese and authentic, nothing pasteurized. I loved it.

The owner was super nice, welcoming and with an amazing attitude. At the day we checked out, later on that day, We were stuck in the city with no place to stay after we booked only for 1 night and the day after was already fully booked. He invited us to stay at the living room and made sure we are fine and sattled with another place to stay. An amazing person, kind and caring. We wont forget him for that.❤️

When we walked in, the house smelled very musty and there was a huge patch of mold on the wall in the bedroom. We tried to air out the room by opening the tiny skylight (the only window in the room) but it didnt help. I started having severe asthma attacks so we had to vacate the room and book a stay for the night in another hotel. Even though we did not spend the night, and had to leave due to the mold, the owner was very argumentative and refused to give us even a partial refund. I dont see how the ratings for this place are so high. We've stayed in a lot of hostils and this is by far the worst one (and ironically, the most expensive one, too!!)

Smells a bit of dump
