Nothing everything was perfect.

The property was lovely in a great location with excellent hosts and extremely comfortable - peaceful! We received a warm welcome with a selection of welcome provisions. Bread, Cheese, Milk, Water, Wine, Filter Coffee and Fruit.

It wasn't clear from Booking.com that the property did not provide breakfast. However, the fridge was stocked with supplies for our first breakfast and a bottle of wine was there for our late arrival.

The property was quiet and peaceful. The accoutrements definitely lived up to the country house atmosphere. We did not have a car, but the hosts suggested a taxi service and restaurants for our stay.

We stayed a week and the kitchenette is a little small for a longer stay. There is no TV.

Excellent view of the area with lovely sunsets. The apartment is big, clean and looks like new. The beds are one of the best we have had in a long time!

The roads can be very narrow and very busy. This has nothing to do with the property and is the same all over this area.

The apartment is large with access to outdoor seating and amazing views over the countryside towards the sea. We had intended travelling around the area but found ourselves spending a lot of the time at the property because it was so peaceful. Our hosts were always on hand if we needed them and provided us with an amazing welcome gift of wine and other treats. Sitting outside to have dinner whilst we watched the sunset and enjoyed the local wildlife aws a highlight.

There were mosquitoes in the evenings but the property did have anti mosquito electric plug-in vapes in each room so it was not a problem at all.

It was peaceful and away from the business of Sintra with gorgeous views. Ana was wonderful in arranging for us to have an early check in. There was plenty of off road parking on the property when you couldn’t find parking on the road. Our fridge was stocked with delicious items for breakfast on our first morning as well as a lovely bottle of wine and fruit from their orchard, this was a wonderful and much appreciated gesture.

The only thing that could’ve improved it, (given that it rained almost every day so I cooked indoors a lot), would’ve been a slightly bigger hob and a freezer compartment above the little fridge

Narrow road for the car to the accommodation.

The roads to reach the property are narrow so you need to be a confident driver but this is not a negative just advice.

The location was stunning set in the countryside with views towards the coast from the terrace.

Breakfast for the first morning including a bottle of wine and fruit is provided by the host. Quiet, peaceful and spacious accommodation, amazing views from the terrace, beautiful and well-kept garden. Every day I admired hydrangeas and water lilies.

I would have appreciated a little more communication prior to and during the stay. We did not know how to check in or out until we asked. This location is car dependent. It was difficult to find food and transportation to and from restaurants. This is not the hosts fault at all but it would have been good to know in advance. We would have rented a car.

The property is secluded and beautiful! The view is wonderful as is the room.

The weather was poor, nobody’s fault! The occasional mosquito for company!

Lovely simple breakfast supplied for the first morning by the host. Historic reviews give impression that breakfast is readily available. It is not! Lovely setting and very convenient for exploring Sintra and the locality. A car in my opinion is essential. The access road is not for the feint hearted, we arrived in a down pour from Lisbon! The Portuguese use a very effective 7 figure location code, put into Sat Nav and finding the remote location would have been easy! We only discovered the facility a week into our ten day two location holiday! Lovely property, friendly and discreet hosts.

The local roads were not for the faint-hearted! Nothing anyone can do about that.

Our hosts left a complementary breakfast for the first day, after which we catered for ourselves in a well equipped kitchen.

i was lucky to get a mid summer booking and had a wonderful three days. Eugaria is a particularly magical corner of Sintra parish, away from the tourist crowds visiting the palaces and closer to the beaches and forest trails (4.5km via Gigaros to Capuchos). The house and garden is truly charming. I spent one afternoon sitting under the trees with a visiting friend enjoying the view across Colares and the coast. The hosts are friendly and thoughtful. There was seasonal fruit, wine and breakfast items in the room upon arrival. I was able to get around using Bolt / Uber (easy in this area in the summer, longer waits in winter). I look forward to visiting again. Highly recommended. Obrigada Ana e Luis!

Room was a little dark, though thats what you get with ancient 2 ft thick walls

Location a few km/12 mins drive out of town was perfect. The whole setting is extremely tranquil, especially compared to the insane crowds in Sintra. Good selection of markets/restaurants/beaches nearby in the other direction. Beautifully restored old buildings, verdant gardens, and distant views of the sea. Room simply and tastefully decorated, augmented by a generously sized and equipped eat in kitchen. There was no breakfast (some past posts are out of date) but kitchen was extremely well stocked with mostly homemade makings of breakfast.
