Our stay was great but there is a bit of noise from the street until.about midnight most nights as the location is so central. We did not mind though.

The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the old town. Check in and check out were easy.

The only reason i didn't give the property a score of 10 is due to the noise from the street, there are restaurants outside so you can hear the noise from this. The restaurant closes about midnight so the noise does quieten down.

It is a really nice cozy place in the middle of the old town. We had restaurants right outside the property, 2 minutes away from the ocean (ocean view from the balcony as well) and all shops available just 5-10 minute walk from the place. Was perfect for our trip. Getting out to the balcony was a bit of trick, but that wasn't an issue for us.

There is a restaurant in front and we were able to listen all the noises till mid night.

The property has all that you need. Coffee machine is a big plus.

You get your own private rooftop in the heart of the old town—an amazing experience! Imagine having dinner surrounded by historical buildings, with the lively sounds of the city in the background, yet enjoying complete privacy. The host is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, even offering airport pickup, which I highly recommend. The pickup service includes a short sightseeing tour during transportation, making your arrival even more special. The apartment itself is small but well-furnished, providing everything you might need—from various kitchenware to a cigar cutter. It is also impeccably clean. 10/10—highly recommended!

Woke up each morning to quite a few dead flies in the bathroom and little ants around the property. Didn't bother us too much but had to be cautious with leaving food out (ants all over our bread on the first morning).

Loved the modern decor & the small rooftop balcony.

The only thing I would point out was the ventilation. It was a bit difficult to fully ventilate the apartment. An air purifier would be a good solution to the musty smell as it is an old building and the humidity is naturally very high.

The apartment is an adorable conversion of a traditional Madeiran house in a very popular art district. You really don't have to go far to find a great selection of restaurants and the beautiful painted doors are all around you. The bed was very comfortable and the little balcony is perfect for a morning coffee with a stunning view of peaceful Funchal.

The accommodation is unbelievably central, next to all the main attractions of the town. It is clean and modern, making our stay very comfortable. Marcos was an excellent host, and accommodated all of our requests- he facilitated things we wanted to see and provided great suggestions throughout the trip.

Bed is not so easy to move up and down if you are short like we are, and the shower fixing was too high for one of us to reach. Spiral staircase to patio is attractive and ingenious, but it is tight and care is needed getting up and down. You can hear diners outside the restaurant opposite conversing up to midnight, but mostly at a low level and it doesn’t stop you getting off to sleep.

Very well modernised little house, well designed well equipped. Excellent location in old town in pedestrianised street with everything you need nearby - basic shops, market, restaurants, cafės, buses, coaches, taxis, cable car, sea etc. Very useful being picked up at the airport by the owner.

Not a 'dislike', but the house is opposite a popular restaurant. It generally emptied out by 10.30 and we didn't find it too noisy even when it was at its busiest, but those who go to bed earlier than that might prefer a quieter spot.

A great place to stay! The house is ingeniously arranged in order to fit everything you could possibly need into a compact space. The spiral staircase up to the rooftop balcony is a magical touch. Everything you'd expect is provided, plus thoughtful extras like umbrellas and herbal tea. The location is great - right in the heart of the old town, with the sea just a street away. The host was friendly and super-helpful, with loads of great recommendations for restaurants and handy websites. I recommend!

We had a good stay. The studio is ideally located. In the middle of a street full of restaurants. Because of this you hear some hustle and bustle in the evening but that did not bother us that much. Everything we needed was there. The kitchen is well equipped, the roof terrace is nice, the shower is good... A downside was that it rains inside, which causes humidity and consequently a nasty musty smell, which the owner is aware of.

Clean, central, close to seafront, balcony via spiral staircase, a bit tricky to access but saved the day having outside space
